At the beginning of 2020,the COVID-19 epidemic was ravaging Wuhan,and the creation of films and television about the epidemic was relatively prosperous.Documentary workers also recorded the epidemic events in the first time,including the recording of live reports and episodic memories of the process against the epidemic.With the continuous development of new media technology,anti-epidemic documentaries also present different form,combining micro and macro perspectives to record Wuhan under the epidemic situation.This paper,taking the documentary on the epidemic in Wuhan,using the method of text analysis and case analysis to the Wuhan anti-epidemic documentary overall development situation,the creation characteristic of the concept of narrative,the related theory and combining with the film and television,narrative,sociological theory,spatial geography,communication,etc.Through analyzing theory of knowledge can get the following conclusion:First,The narrative style of Wuhan anti-epidemic documentary is mainly emotional narrative and reflective narrative,which tells the self-relief and redemption of Wuhan people after the epidemic,and produces psychological and action reflection.Second,Documentaries of the Wuhan anti-epidemic present the construction of the national history of the epidemic in Wuhan and the collective memory of specific groups,as well as the construction of people’s individual memories.Third,the presentation of Wuhan and public space in the documentary on Wuhan’s anti-epidemic theme.In addition to serving as the carrier of memory,public space itself can also serve as the subject of memory.Then can cause the generation of memory by the changes of Wuhan before and after the epidemic,and at the same time add stories to it through the occurrence of narration,so as to stabilize its historical position.Four,The space of family or individual solitude is a supplement to the public space.The individual space from the micro perspective enriches the documentary’s recording perspective.Through the analysis of the above four aspects,this paper expounds the creation characteristics and ways of anti-epidemic documentary in Wuhan,and provides some feasibility research for the development of anti-epidemic documentary.The theme of Wuhan anti-epidemic documentary shows great humanistic care,national cohesion and national identity.While the epidemic is still raging,relevant documentaries are also continuing to develop,providing new development ideas for the creation of documentaries,which still has research value.Anti-epidemic documentaries focus on the current society,focusing on ordinary people in ordinary life,which fits the audience’s heart.
