| Objective(s):This topic aims to study the characteristics of self-concept,interpersonal relationship and network behavior of middle school students and the relationship among them, and further explore the mediating role of interpersonal relationship, and put forward corresponding suggestions for education management,so as to provide reference for promoting the healthy development of middle school students. Methods:In this study, convenience sampling method was used to select 826 middle school students from two schools with junior high school and senior high school in Xi ’an,Shaanxi Province as the research objects, and questionnaire was used to conduct quantitative analysis on the research objects. The Tennessee Self-concept Scale was used to measure the self-concept of middle school students, the Adolescent Internet Behavior Questionnaire was used to measure the Internet behavior of middle school students, and the Interpersonal Relationship Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale was used to measure the interpersonal relationship of middle school students. The independent sample t-test and ANOVA were used to analyze the differences of demographic variables.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the three variables.Regression analysis and mediating effect test were used to analyze the predictive and mediating effects of the variables.Results:(1)The total score of self-concept and the average score of each factor were higher than 3 points; In addition to the positive evaluation of the network and the network self-efficacy factor, the average score of each factor was less than 3 points. The scores of network content preference from high to low were entertainment and relaxation, information and technology, sex and games, and network interpersonal relationship. The detection rate of interpersonal distress was 51.6%,and the average score of interpersonal distress was 9.193.(2)There was a significant inter-group effect on the total score of self-concept between father’s education and mother’s education. In terms of the factors of self-concept,there were significant inter-group effects on self-identity and family self-identity;there were significant inter-group effects on gender in self-satisfaction,physiological self, moral self, psychological self and social self;there were significant inter-group effects on paternal education and maternal education in the other eight factors of self-concept except self-criticism.(3)There is a significant inter-group effect on information and technology preference,Internet interpersonal preference, positive evaluation of the Internet,Internet anxiety,Internet efficacy and Internet satisfaction. There is a significant inter-group effect on gender and game preference,Internet anxiety and Internet efficacy. There is a significant inter-group effect on the positive evaluation of the Internet.Being the only child or not has a significant inter-group effect on online interpersonal relationship preference. The father’s education has a significant inter-group effect on the positive evaluation of the Internet and the Internet efficacy, while the mother’s education has a significant inter-group effect on the sex and games preference, the Internet interpersonal relationship preference, the positive evaluation of the Internet and the Internet efficacy.(4)Paternal education and maternal education had significant inter-group effect on interpersonal distress. In each dimension of interpersonal relationship, there is a significant inter-group effect on the conversation distress, gender has a significant inter-group effect on the interpersonal friendship distress and the opposite sex friendship distress, the father’s education and the mother’s education have a significant inter-group effect on the conversation distress, interpersonal friendship distress and the opposite sex friendship distress.(5)The regression coefficient of information and technology content preference on the total self-concept score of middle school students was β=0.193(p<0.001),and the regression coefficient of net neutrality and game content preference on the total self-concept score wasβ=-0.271(p<0.001).The regression coefficient of content preference for entertainment and relaxation on the total score of self-concept was β=-0.128(p<0.001),and the regression coefficient of content preference for interpersonal relationship on the total score of self-concept was β=-0.075(p<0.05).The regression coefficient of positive network evaluation on the total score of self-concept was β=0.138(p<0.001),the regression coefficient of negative network evaluation on the total score of self-concept was β=-0.127(p<0.001),and the regression coefficient of Internet anxiety on the total score of self-concept was β=-0.208(p<0.001).The regression coefficient of network efficacy on the total score of self-concept was β=0.079(p<0.05),and the regression coefficient of network satisfaction on the total score of self-concept wasβ=-0.133(p<0.001).(6)The direct effect was 0.104 and the indirect effect was 0.088 in the relationship between the total score of self-concept and the content preference of information and technology network. The direct effect was-0.147 and the indirect effect was-0.123,respectively.In the relationship between the total score of self-concept and its positive evaluation of the network, the direct effect was-0.204,and the indirect effect was-0.065.In the relationship between the total score of self-concept and its negative evaluation of the network, the direct effect was-0.053,and the indirect effect was-0.073.In the relationship between the total score of self-concept and its satisfaction with the network,The direct effect was-0.019,and the indirect effect was-0.114.Conclusion(s):Current middle school students have a more positive self-concept,slight interpersonal distress,in terms of Internet behavior, more preference for entertainment and relaxation network content, more positive evaluation of the network, network efficacy is relatively good,Internet anxiety and network satisfaction is low.Self-concept of middle school students can significantly predict their network behavior characteristics(network content preference, positive evaluation of the network, negative evaluation of the network,Internet anxiety,Internet efficacy and Internet satisfaction).Among them,The self-concept of middle school students affects the content preference of information and technology network, the content preference of sex and game network, the positive and negative evaluation of the network, and the satisfaction of the network by influencing the interpersonal relationship of middle school students. That is,the interpersonal relationship of middle school students plays a mediating role between self-concept and network behavior. |
