| Plato is one of the great philosophers of ancient Greece,whose thoughts still influence the whole western culture.His concern about the harmony of human soul and the infiltration of soul with beauty all embody aesthetic education thought.However,Plato did not have a clear definition of aesthetic education,and the word of aesthetic education was first explicitly proposed by Schiller.Schiller’s book on Aesthetic Education is the forerunner of aesthetic education thought.Nietzsche highly praised Schiller’s thought for making Germans young.It can be seen that Schiller’s aesthetic education thought shaped the German people from the heart.Therefore,based on Schiller’s elaboration of aesthetic education thought,this paper analyzes Plato’s aesthetic education thought.In addition,Schiller believed that "the present era is far from providing us with the form of human nature needed to improve the nation morally.Only when people’s inner heart is no longer divided and human nature is fully developed,can people themselves become designers and human reality become rational political creations.Schiller’s aesthetic education thought is the subject of human beings and emphasizes the natural harmony of human beings from their natural nature.Therefore,in the analysis of Plato’s aesthetic education thought,we should start from the subject status of human beings,to explore the determination of Plato’s aesthetic education thought on the subject status of ancient Greeks and the harmony of body and mind.In order to present the systematic structure of Plato’s analysis of aesthetic education,it is necessary to analyze the background of Plato’s aesthetic education.Formation of Plato’s aesthetic education thought is inseparable from the ancient Greek culture,the influence of religious sacrificial studies of ancient Greek religion fete process found the ancient greeks the awakening of subject consciousness,this is the ancient Greek humanistic spirit make public,prompting the ancient Greek philosophers begin to pay close attention to the connotation of aesthetic education thought,has paved the way for the aesthetic thought of Plato.This paper focuses on Plato’s interpretation of the harmony of human soul,explores the aesthetic way of Plato’s pursuit of virtue in the process,analyzes the feasibility of Plato’s aesthetic education thought from Plato’s artistic education practice,and finally aims at the virtue appeal of Plato’s aesthetic education thought. |
