A Study On The Changes Of Hu Zongxian’s Image In Ming History Written By Ming People And Qing Officials

Hu Zongxian was an important figure in the middle of Ming Dynasty,who made great contributions to exterminating Japanese pirates.However,because of the complexity of Hu zongxian’s personality,scholars in different times of Ming and Qing dynasties have different evaluations on him.In the jiajing and Longqing years,Hu Zongxian was described by Xu Wei,MAO Kun,Tang Shunzhi,Mo Ruzhong,Shen Mingchen,Wang Daokun,Dong Fen,Zhang Shiche,Zheng Xiao and Wang Shenzhong as outstanding in talent and outstanding in battle,but finally died unjustly.From wanli to chongzhen years,wang shizhen,feng menglong,Hu Zongxian described as even confused her people,and in all,a court xun,Tang Hezheng,Zhou Qingyuan,Ding Yuanjian,Huang Jing Fang,Zhu Guozhen,yao brigade,jiao hong,Chen Yidian,Huang Ruheng,Fan Jingwen,Zhu Fengxiang,geng directional,xu tree PI,a piece of light,many,MAO yuan people,such as instrument Hu Zongxian is described as having both ability and political integrity,Outstanding military achievements,for meritorious service and career had to compromise and rely on Yan Song.Therefore,the positive image of hu Zongxian’s ministers was more displayed in Ming’s works.Although there are records about Hu Zongxian making good use of talents and contributing contributions to southeast China in the History of Ming Dynasty,more records emphasize that Hu Zongxian was fond of fame,good at political arts and good at pleasing.The reasons behind the difference of Hu Zongxian’s image are different between Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.The reasons for the high evaluation of Ming people are as follows: on the one hand,Hu Zongxian’s plan to kill the Japanese invaders was meritorious in southeast China,and people from southeast China praised him greatly;On the other hand,some people either inherited Hu zongxian’s kindness,or were influenced by teachers and parents’ high opinion of Hu Zongxian,so they gave hu high opinion.There are two main reasons for the qing official to disparage Hu Zongxian in revising Ming History.First,Hu Zongxian’s personality is complicated and he is good at speculating and specializing.Ii.The records of Hu Zongxian in The History of The Ming Dynasty were mainly based on the Ming Shilu,but the Ming Shilu did not appraised Hu Zongxian highly.In addition,some historians who participated in the revision of the Ming History had a low opinion of Hu zongxian.
