A Study Of Aristotle’s Aesthetic Education Thoughts

This article mainly from Aristotle aesthetic education thoughts,ways and purpose of the implementation of the way,discusses the main content of Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts,the implementation of the aesthetic education thought mainly embodies in the Poetics,way is more reflected in the Politics,and its purpose of aesthetic education more highlighted in Nicomachean Ethics.So on the basis of reading Aristotle’s Poetics,Politics,Nicomachean Ethics and other texts as well as the history of ancient Greek aesthetic philosophy,this paper tries to interpret and summarize the aesthetic education thoughts reflected in Aristotle’s works by using hermeneutics and interdisciplinary research methods.This paper is mainly divided into five parts,namely five chapters,as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the research status and significance of Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts.Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts play a pivotal role in the whole history of aesthetic education thoughts.The second chapter mainly introduces the historical soil and initial form of Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts,and probes into the formation and promotion of Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts by ancient Greek skills from the perspective of epic,music,architecture and sports.From the historical context analysis of Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts of the formation of the reason,better understand the analysis of its aesthetic education thoughts.In the third chapter basically from Aristotle’s writings Poetics and Politics of the analysis of the aesthetic education thoughts,in its Poetics,said imitation embodies the Aristotle on the basis of the reality to create aesthetic education thoughts,the theory of purification is from tragedy brings pity and fear the perspective of tragedy brought to people’s emotional catharsis and purification,so that people’s hearts by washing and edifying,bring aesthetic education to people’s souls.In his Politics,the political justice,is the top priority in Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts,the city-state justice is an important form of political justice,political justice as the axis of education leads to city-states in the city-state justice,the importance of further highlight of Aristotle in the Politics of thoughts of aesthetic education,and to locate his aesthetic education thoughts to the doctrine of the mean,to standardize and educate citizens on the principle of moderation,improve their ability to appreciate emotion and beauty and promote their own development.The fourth chapter,based on Nicomachean Ethics,analyzes the aesthetic education thoughts contained in Aristotle’s happiness view,friendship view and justice view respectively,and makes the end result of his aesthetic education thought to be good.In Aristotle’s view of happiness,the highest kind of happiness is a kind of virtue.The fundamental purpose of aesthetic education is to train people with excellent conduct,and a person with virtue is the foundation of aesthetic education.In Aristotle’s view of love,love is a kind of interpersonal relationship between people,a person with virtue can not be separated from social and independent existence,love is an important part of Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts.In Aristotle’s justice,justice is divided into a variety of justice,is the most typical one city-state justice and justice,a city-state fairness also directly decides the prosperity and stability of the state,and city justice is to realize the individual justice,and achieve the important place of aesthetic education,individual justice is an important factor in achieving personal aesthetic education.In the end,Aristotle’s aesthetic education thoughts and the purpose of aesthetic education are summarized.Starting from human virtue and taking the highest goodness of perfect man as the foothold and starting point,Aristotle purifies individual’s mind and emotion and perfects individual’s virtue,starting from individual’s virtue such as justice,happiness and friendship.The ultimate goal of aesthetic education is to perfect human virtue.
