A Research Of "Guang Yan Yi Bian" By Wu Dazhen

Written in the mid-to-late Ming Dynasty,Guang Yan Yi Bian is an important work in the"Yan Yi" novel collections.In addition to inheriting the main idea and basic frame of the compilation of Yan Yi Bian,it also adjusts and complements Yan Yi Bian very well.At the same time,Guang Yan Yi Bian also affects Xu Yan Yi Bian and other "Yan Yi" works,but also become the future literary works reference and selection of the object.However,this book has long been ignored by scholars,its research is also relatively simple.The research mainly focuses on the author’s basic information and the writing time,as well as the textual research on the relationship between the author and Yan Yi Bian.Few researchers have studied the edition,style,artistic achievement and ideological content of Guang Yan Yi Bian.Therefore,this article takes Guang Yan Yi Bian as the research object.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the article is divided into five parts and twelve sections.The first chapter mainly analyzes the compilation background of Guang Yan Yi Bian.In this paper,the author puts Guang Yan Yi Bian in the context of the trend of collecting materials and compiling into books in the Ming dynasty,especially the trend of compiling classical Chinese novels from Jiajing to the end of the Ming dynasty,which lasted for more than one hundred and twenty years.This section analyses and summarizes the background of the book from economic,cultural,political and ideological perspectives,pointing out that it was created under the overall influence of the social context of the times.The second chapter mainly analyzes the edition,editor and compiling style of Guang Yan Yi Bian.This part is based on ancient documents and modern research results to determine Wu Dazhen’s courtesy name,pseudonym,place of origin,date of birth and death,and the date of the publication of Guang Yan Yi Bian.At the same time,based on the text,the various changes made by Wu Dazhen to the original text of the selected works are explored,as well as the purpose and function of the changes made by Wu Dazhen in the process of compilation,and the concept of fiction that Wu Dazhen embodies in them.The third chapter studies the relationship between Guang Yan Yi Bian and other books,based on the source and adaptation of 595 works selected from Guang Yan Yi Bian.The stories in Guang Yan Yi Bian are from a wide range of sources,and by combing through the sources selected by Wu Dazhen,it can be seen that Wu Dazhen deliberately avoided the works selected in Kan Yi Bian.The focus of the Guang Yan Yi Bian also shifts from an emphasis on the Tang and Song dynasties to an emphasis on the Tang,Song,Yuan and Ming dynastiesThe fourth chapter mainly discusses the characteristics of selection embodied in Guang Yan Yi Bian from the angle of aesthetic implication.Based on the theme of "Yan Yi",this paper discusses the style of "Pursuing colourful and indulgent desires" and "Describing strange and unusual",as well as the colorful female images in the works.Finally,the thesis focuses on the value and impact of the compilation and publication of Guang Yan Yi Bian,mainly in terms of its documentary value and literary significance.It also serves as a guide to the creation and editing of later works in both Classical Chinese and vernacular works.
