Research On The Jianghuai Region Jun Administrative Region In Song Dynasty

Local administrative division has always been an important measure for the central government to manage local areas in ancient China.The administrative division of the Song Dynasty has its own characteristics.On the one hand,it has followed the relevant administrative system of the late Tang and the five dynasties,and on the other hand,it has made innovations on this basis.The military administrative region inherited from the previous generation,but carried out innovative reform in the Song Dynasty.This paper focuses on the military administrative region of the Jianghuai region in the Song Dynasty,and carries out a systematic study on the establishment history,changes and adjustments of the military administrative region,the reasons behind the changes and characteristics of the changes.On this basis,it analyzes the regional changes of the Jianghuai region,the administrative characteristics of the Song Dynasty and other macro issues.The military in the Jianghuai region began in the Five Dynasties period.It was originally a military jurisdiction,with the chief being the military leader.Later,it gradually evolved into a new type of administrative division unit integrating military and civil administration,which was mostly located around the capital and along the Jianghuai River.However,compared with the prefectures and counties,the military nature of the military administrative region is still strong,and it is at a stage of transition from military jurisdiction to administrative region,which is also the inevitable result of the wars between the five separatist regimes.The number of military and administrative regions increased after the acquisition of the land north of the Yangtze River in the Southern Tang Dynasty in the Later Zhou Dynasty,which was one of its strategic measures to recover the Southern Tang Dynasty.During this period,the situation that the head of the military and administrative region concurrently served as the governor of the state and county has been widespread,and the relationship between the head of the military and administrative region and the state and county is closer,which is the origin of the later division of the military and administrative region into the two levels of the state and county.After entering the Song Dynasty,the Song court formally incorporated the general administrative region into the administrative system.The adjustment of the military and political regions in the Jianghuai region in the whole Song Dynasty showed a phased feature,which was related to the regional characteristics of the Jianghuai region,the national political reform,the changes in North-South relations and other factors.In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty,the current situation was turbulent.The Song Dynasty inherited the trend of building military forces in the five dynasties,and continued to build military forces in the Jianghuai region.It inherited the Tianchang,Xiongwu and Hanyang armed forces set up in the five dynasties,and newly built Jian’an and Gaoyou armed forces.In addition to the need of stabilizing the local area,the developed water transport system and abundant tax revenue were also important aspects of the adjustment of the Jianghuai region’s military and administrative functions of the Jianghuai region’s military and administrative regions were also gradually expanded characteristics,which did not fully fit the development track expected by the rulers.In the Southern Song Dynasty,the Song Dynasty crossed the south,and the Jianghuai region changed from the belly to
