| The German dramatist Bertolt Brecht(1898-1956)was always committed to theatrical innovation, and his bold innovation of traditional theater at the level of theater theory and concrete practice led Brecht to construct a distinctive "Episches Theater".Up to the period of exile,Brecht’s theater was rebellious and revolutionary, but at the same time,it also embodied a distinct dialectical color. This thesis focuses on the issue of the dialectical characteristics of Brecht’s plays, and takes a combination of theoretical research and case study. In fact, the idea of "dialectic" had already appeared in Brecht’s works as early as in the early stage of his Episches Theater creation. The dialectical unity of the educational and entertainment functions of theater was thus achieved to a certain extent.Exploring the dialectical characteristics of Brecht’s drama has positive significance for the development of contemporary art, especially for the creation of Chinese red drama and melodramatic films and TV series, which is of reference and guidance value. |
