A Study Of Children’s Poetry In The Ballad Weekly

As a major product of the ballad movement,the Ballad Weekly collected many folk songs for future generations to study and explore,and these collected poems and ballads are a focus on the lives of the people at the bottom of the folklore.Today,many scholars have focused their research on the background of the Ballad Weekly and the value of its influence on the development of folklore studies,and few articles have been written on the content of the Ballad Weekly itself.This paper focuses on the content of children’s poetry in the Ballad Weekly,which is a large compendium of the content of children’s poetry in the Ballad Weekly and a foundation for future scholarly research.The main part of the thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the background to the creation of the Ballad Weekly and the emergence of Children’s poetry for May 4th;The second chapter introduces the thematic content of the Ballad Weekly’s children’s poetry,beginning with the text and using the three themes of Education,Mother love and Play to provide a comprehensive overview;The third Chapter introduces the artistic style of the children’s poetry of the Ballad Weekly,focusing on three aspects of poetic style,linguistic rhythm and expression;The fourth chapter introduces the literary value of the children’s poetry of the Ballad Weekly,it looks at both how it contributed to the construction of a theory of modern children’s poetry and how it laid the foundations for the creation of modern children’s poetry and how to resource the creation of early vernacular new poetry;In finishing this paper,the author carefully and meticulously worked through the textual content of the children’s poetry in the Ballad Weekly,using theoretical research,textual analysis,documentary analysis and comparative research methods to get deeper into the text.After the author’s research: this paper,as a fundamental and comprehensive analysis,provides a holistic overview of the content of children’s poetry in the Ballad Weekly and a good appendix,which is a basis for later scholarly research.As a small type of children’s literature,children’s poetry,in its own unique textual form,participates in the spiritual construction of children in different age,warming their hearts and nourishing their souls.Although children’s poetry has not achieved as much success as children’s fiction in literary history,since its birth,there have been generations of children’s poets who have never stopped working and exploring in the creation of children’s poetry,and it is because of their persistence that children’s poetry has shined in the long history of the times.
