Report On The Practice Of Chinese-English Consecutive Interpretation At The “AI Ethics Summit Forum??

With the continuous development of artificial intelligence,the issue of artificial intelligence ethics is also facing profound challenges.The AI Ethics Conference is the practical source for this report.The task description comes first,followed by the introduction of interpretation process,the issues encountered throughout the interpretation process and the coping methods.The summary of the interpretation comes in the fourth section.The third chapter,which is the major part of the report,focuses on the issues that interpreters face while doing their job and presents remedy strategies for those issues.To address the issue of redundancy,by analyzing the target language,the redundancy is divided into syntactic redundancy and semantic redundancy,and the strategies of information integration and semantic compression are proposed.For the single-subject running sentence,and multi-subject running sentence,the strategies of reasonable sentence segmentation,and subject identification are proposed respectively.This report aims to investigate the difficulties and issues that students interpreters faced during academic conferences,and to put forward corresponding solutions based on practical experience and post-translation reflection.so as to help other interpreters correctly deal with the same problems in interpreting,and provide reference and help for interpreters engaged in future academic interpreting.
