Study On Folk Sacrifice Literature In Meishan Area

"Ceremony" is an important symbol of Chinese culture.In the ancient Meishan area,Meishan ancestors created and inherited Meishan culture with distinctive regional characteristics and Confucian culture as the core.They called the folk rituals of the Meishan culture Confucian ceremony,of which sacrificial activities and ceremony are an important part.Since the opening of Meishan in the Southern Song Dynasty,Confucian rituals became the main way for the imperial court to implement "civilized by the emperor" and "civilized by Confucianism" in the Meishan area.Folk sacrifice activities are popular in Meishan area and have become an essential social activity in people’s daily life.The active folk rituals have resulted in a rich and colorful folk ritual literature around the rituals in the Meishan area,which is of great importance to show and understand the social life,interpersonal interaction and ritual culture of the local people.At the same time,sacrificial literature is also an important documentary source for the study of ancient Chinese literature and folklore.This paper adopts the methods of documentary analysis and fieldwork to analyze and study the relevant concepts,representative types as well as creative characteristics and social functions of folk ritual literature in Meishan area.The main body of the paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter argues that Meishan folk ritual literature is a form of literature that is mainly used to express feelings of reverence for the gods or mourning for the deceased,using Meishan folk rituals as a vehicle for worshipping the gods or paying tribute to the deceased by explaining the concepts of Meishan culture and folk ritual literature.The second chapter discusses the classification of folk sacrifice literature in the Meishan region based on the division by traditional rituals and the objects and purposes of the sacrifices.According to the different traditional rituals,the folk sacrifice literature in the Meishan region can be divided into four categories: crown ceremony sacrifice,wedding ceremony sacrifice,funeral sacrifice and sacrificial rituals.According to the difference of the object and purpose of the sacrifice,the folk literature of the Meishan area can be divided into three categories: the sacrifice of good wishes,the sacrifice of sorrow and the sacrifice of miscellaneous.Through different classification methods,we can deepen our knowledge and understanding of the causes,writing purposes,use functions,existence values and others of folk sacrifice literature.The third chapter explores the specific creative features of folk sacrifice literature in the Meishan region by combining fieldwork with three aspects: creative subjects,stylistic features and expression techniques.Firstly,the creative subjects of folk sacrificial literature are classified and discussed.The creative subjects of folk sacrificial literature in the Meishan area are multi-level,the sacrificial works created by different creative subjects have their own characteristics,and the dissemination of folk sacrificial literature is extensive and inherited,and the excellent sacrificial works are widely spread in the Meishan area.Secondly,it compares the evolution of ancient sacrificial literature,and gives examples to prove that the folk sacrificial literature in the Meishan region is changeable.There are not only works written in a single style such as rhyme or prose,but also works written in a combination of rhyme and prose.Finally,it analyzes the expression skills of folk sacrifice literature,and concludes that the language description of folk sacrifice literature in the Meishan region are popular,the means of lyric are diverse,and the rhetorical devices are flexible through the analysis of examples.The fourth chapter is mainly analyze and discuss the social function and cultural significance of folk sacrifice literature in the Meishan region from the perspective of sociology and folklore on the basis of the previous article.Folk sacrificial literature in the Meishan region has distinct educational functions,which can have an impact on personal values and promote the formation of individual cognitive system.At the same time,folk sacrificial literature has the function of integration for society,which can enhance the group cohesion of social members,standardize their social behavior and form a relatively stable social order.In addition,it also has the function of cultural transmission.As an important carrier and means of transmission of Meishan culture and Confucian culture,it can promote the integration and development of the folk culture of Meishan area and the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.The tradition of sacrificial literature has a long history and occupies an important position in the daily life of people in the Meishan region.Through the investigation and research of folk sacrificial literature in the Meishan region,the author gradually deepens from concept to genre and then to the characteristics of literary creation,in order to deepen people’s knowledge and understanding of folk sacrificial literature in the Meishan region,triggering the cognition and thinking of traditional culture such as sacrificial etiquette and sacrificial culture,and fully realized the significance of sacrificial activities and sacrificial literature for personal development,social stability and cultural revival.
