Research On The Survival Predicament Of Chinese Net Literature Writers

After twenty-five years of development,China’s network literature has seen a huge number of users,a rapid growth in the size of the industry.As producers of network literature,the professional group of cyberspace writers has also taken shape in size.The role played by network literature and cyberspace writers in the country’s cultural industry is becoming increasingly important.Network literature and the cyberspace writers who produce it are in an important position in the cultural industry and clearly deserve to be observed and studied by current researchers with many perspectives.However,the author’s research found that behind the boom in the network literature industry,the vast majority of cyberspace writers are not surviving in a decent way.The capital and institutional control of network literary platforms,coupled with contingent employment,result in cyberspace writers being forced to rely on network literary platforms for their work even at their own risk of gain and lack of labour protection.In this context,the survival of cyberspace writers is difficult in many ways.The high intensity of updates,the erosion of assembly line creation,the influence of the prevalence of homogenization,and the growing loss of subjectivity are all hitting cyberspace writers step by step.The difficulty of signing up,the low pay and the flexible income at the risk of earnings under the rules of the platform have kept many cyberspace writers in low-paid or even free labour for a long time.Network literature platforms and a very small number of headline writers divide up most of the revenue generated by network literature works,and there is a clear income gap between groups of cyberspace writers.At the same time,the "return" of the free model has to a certain extent squeezed the living space of cyberspace writers.In addition,cyberspace writers are also faced with piracy and plagiarism,infringement disputes arising from IP adaptations and the pressures of a full copyright operation model.By discussing the development of network literature in which cyberspace writers are rooted,the overall situation of cyberspace writers,the platform environment and the related legal and policy environment,this thesis attempts to build a three-dimensional field for the growth of cyberspace writers,with a view to analyzing more critically the real survival dilemma of cyberspace writers.By making suggestions to cyberspace writers,network literature platforms and the legislature,we hope that cyberspace writers will eventually achieve relief in the future environment and in the process of labour and life.
