New Women And Their Dilemmas In The “Female Normal University Movement??

The "Women’s Normal School Movement" is a year-long student movement that took place on the campus of Women’s Normal University to expel their president.The outbreak of the "Women’s Normal School Movement" came at the time of frequent trends across the country and the education circle was full of undercurrents and problems.First of all,the Ministry of Education personnel changed frequently,and the conflict between universities and the Ministry of Education was constant;Secondly,the internal trend of colleges and universities were continuous,from the lecture tide to Yi Chang tide,and so on;Finally,the Women’s Normal University is also plagued with internal conflicts.The students were not satisfied with the president sent by the Ministry of Education,and the Students’ Self-Government Association has been on the road to expel the president."Women’s Normal School Movement" lasted nearly a year,the main task was to "expel Yang" and "oppose Zhang".The wave began when Yang Yinyu ordered her students to withdraw from school,and further expanded when students were forbidden to participate in the public memorial service for Dr.Sun Yat-sen and activities commemorating the "May 7th National Disgrace".On August 1,1925,Yang Yinyu led the military police and other to force students to leave the school which was the climax of the whole "Women’s Normal School Movement",triggering the sympathy of all sectors of society for the students and the denunciation of Yang Yinyu,and eventually led to Yang Yinyu’s departure and the last wave of "Women’s Normal School Movement",in which Zhang Shizhao sent Liu Baizhao armed to take over female normal school,resulted in students’ struggle being directed at Zhang Shizhao,and also provoked anger and accusations against him at the social level.Principal Yang Yinyu’s school-running philosophy of "school like family" and inappropriate performance in dealing with students’ problems caused widespread dissatisfaction among students and led to the expulsion by them.Due to the expulsion of Yang Yinyu,the students were further divided,resulting in the rotation of two autonomous associations,the opposition between the "expel Yang group" and the "neutral group",and finally the opposition and conflict between the two "female universities".Although the number of students in female Normal University was not large,due to the particularity of this university and its students,it still attracts wide attention from all walks of life.All kinds of comments are reported in the newspaper,and even figures of all factions and departments are not afraid to abuse.In this battle,the "Yusi Group" led by Lu Xun and the "Modern Criticism Group" led by Chen Xiying are the most prominent,lasting the longest.It can be seen that the " Women’s Normal School Movement " is widely involved and has important research value.
