The Examination Of Legal Knowledge In The Imperial Examination In The Ming Dynast

Panyu(Judgment questions),as one of the questions in the civil service selection examination,was widely used in the Tang and Song Dynasties.After the interruption of the Yuan Dynasty,the rulers of the Ming Dynasty,on the one hand,based on the critical inheritance of the system of the Yuan Dynasty,and on the other hand,based on the reflection on the implementation of the judgment questions in the Tang and Song Dynasties,restored the application of the judgment questions in the imperial examinations,and at the same time,made the judgement questions in the Ming Dynasty show obvious particularity compared with the previous generation in terms of examination occasions,scope and form.Due to the repetition of test questions,the prevalence of reference books and the excessive pursuit of parallel beauty in the text,the examination of legal knowledge in the Ming Dynasty sentence question itself was limited,and because the examinees and examiners did not pay much attention to the sentence,the effect of its implementation was not ideal.Against the background of the value orientation of valuing Confucianism and using Confucianism in the Ming Dynasty and the tradition of rational justice,the legal professional quality of officials is not very necessary,and the government,out of its vigilance against the overflow of legal knowledge,also tends to transfer legal training to officials who have passed the examination and obtained positions.
