| Public archaeological practice is an important way for archaeology to exert its contemporary social value.Sharing archaeological resources with the public and guiding the public to participate in archaeological work can not only realize the popularization and education of archaeology, but also have direct significance for the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage. The introduction of non-professionals to participate in archaeological field work, that is,the development of archaeological volunteer activities is a practice of public archaeology.Such activities have been attempted to varying degrees in international archaeological excavations, but relatively few attempts have been made in China. At the end of 2016,since the systematic archaeological excavation of Jiangkou Battlefield Site in Pengshan,Sichuan, archaeological volunteers have been introduced to participate, which has accumulated experience for Chinese public archaeological practice.Through the combination of new media and traditional media to release recruitment information, the excavation of the Jiangkou battlefield site in the late Ming Dynasty explored the experience of effective diffusion of archaeological volunteer recruitment information.Volunteers who emphasize voluntary experience, learning ability, skills such as photography and drawing rather than archaeological professional experience, participate in part of the archaeological work according to their personal specialties, and encourage them to understand the content of other parts of the archaeological work, forming a detailed archaeological work Activity experience in workflow and grouping of people.Through continuous archaeological voluntary activities,it not only meets the archaeological learning needs of volunteers, but also enriches the content of public archaeological practice at Jiangkou’s late Ming battlefield sites.Comparing the archaeological volunteer activities of related domestic institutions and the archaeological volunteer activities of the Miharashidai site in Japan, the "Jiangkou model" of archaeological volunteer activities has gradually become clear.Participants participate in archaeological work by virtue of their non-archaeological expertise.Let the participants understand the real archaeology,so as to deepen their understanding of archaeology and their willingness to contribute to the cause of cultural heritage protection. This mode is more suitable for sites that carry out periodic archaeological excavations, and some of the work requires the participation of non-professionals.The "Jiangkou Model" is not only an effective public archaeological practice at the site itself, but also provides a case demonstration for such activities as archaeological volunteers, providing a new way for the public to participate in archaeology and share archaeological resources. |
