A Study Of Female Images In Novels By Chinese Female Science Fiction Writers (1990-2021

For a long period of time in the development of Chinese science fiction,female voices are missing,and female images in science fiction are often reduced to the vassal of men,lacking equal voice and independent spirit.Since 1990,more and more female writers have joined the creation team of Chinese science fiction,and they continue to produce high-quality novel texts.The female images in novels are also constantly changing under the influence of different gender concepts,which can be divided into traditional female images,modern female images and postmodern female images.By studying the female images in the novels of Chinese female science fiction writers,we can see the change of their gender concept,their challenge to the gender dualism and their efforts to rewrite the female images,and further understand the intrinsic value and artistic charm of the novels of Chinese female science fiction writers.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.In the introduction part,it introduces the reasons for the topic selection of this paper and the research status of "Chinese female science fiction writers" and "female images in science fiction" at home and abroad,and clarifies the research methods and innovations of this paper.The text consists of four parts:The first chapter analyzes the change of gender concept of Chinese female science fiction writers since the 1990 s.The gender concept of Chinese female science fiction writers has changed from the traditional male-centered gender concept to the modern gender concept of pursuing equality and independence,and further develops the post-modern gender concept of resolving gender differences.The second chapter firstly classifies the female images in the novels of Chinese female science fiction writers since the 1990 s.According to the different characteristics of the characters,it can be divided into traditional female images,modern female images and postmodern female images,and then carries out an in-depth analysis of the female images in the specific works.The third chapter discusses in detail the strategies of writing female images in Chinese female science fiction writers since the 1990 s.Chinese female science fiction writers often build character images in the flexible time,and highlight the character’s personality with the help of language,appearance and psychological description.Finally,they deepen the character images by writing about women’s contradictory struggles in the face of the conflict between science and technology and ethics.The fourth chapter analyzes the significance and limitation of female image writing in Chinese female science fiction writers since the 1990 s.Chinese female science fiction writers consciously integrate female life experience into their novels,which provides female images with more gender characteristics for Chinese science fiction.The female images complement the male images to complete the narrative together,and pay attention to the survival plight of contemporary people through the female images.However,there are still deficiencies in the incomplete liberation of women and the uneliminated patriarchal thought.The conclusion part gives a brief summary of the whole paper.
