| The year 2022 is a special and difficult one, with the global COVID-19 pandemic posing a serious threat to human physical and mental health. The COVID-19 epidemic is a serious source of stress for college students, which may affect their physical and mental health to some extent.Coupled with bad living habits, the physical quality of college students is declining.Latin dance,as a sports item integrating sports and art,can not only cultivate artistic temperament, but also greatly promote the physical quality of the human body,so it stands out in many sports items. This paper verifies the fitness value of Latin dance by means of the changes of health and physical fitness indicators of college students before and after Latin dance training, makes a quantitative analysis of health and physical fitness indicators of college students, uses data to demonstrate the positive influence of Latin dance on cardiopulmonary function, body composition, muscle strength and flexibility of college students, and compares the advantages of rumba and cha-cha,and demonstrates the importance of learning Latin dance. The analysis of the importance of Latin dance learning to the health of college students and the importance of improving the national quality is conducive to responding to the national call of "national fitness",and then better develop the Latin dance movement, but also to promote the development of sports.Research objectives: This study attempted to use Latin dance as an intervention method and chacha and Rumba as the intervention content to carry out exercise intervention on college students. The changes of four indicators of cardiopulmonary endurance, body composition, muscle fitness and flexibility of college students before and after the intervention were compared and analyzed, and the changes of each indicator of health and physical fitness of college students before and after the experiment were analyzed. In order to explore the influence of Latin dance on the health and physical fitness of college students, and compare the difference of the influence of chacha and Rumba on the health and physical fitness of college students, the purpose is to provide experimental basis for the development of Latin dance projects in colleges and universities, and reflect the promotion of different kinds of Latin dance to individual health.Research Methods: 60 college students aged 18-20 years old from Physical Education College of Zhengzhou University underwent training intervention for 12 weeks, and were divided into three groups: Chacha experiment A group,Rumba experiment B group and control group C group. Before and after the intervention, physical fitness indexes were tested, including: Body mass index(BMI)and waist-tohip ratio(WHR)were used to evaluate subjects’ body composition; The subjects’ cardiopulmonary endurance was evaluated by means of vital capacity and middledistance running. The upper limb, lower limb and trunk muscle strength and endurance were evaluated by grip strength, standing long jump and one-minute sit-up.The flexion of sitting body was evaluated.Research results:(1)Comparison of the indicators of the cha-cha group, rumba group and control group before and after the experiment: body composition indicators, compared with the pre-experimental period, the BMI indicators of the cha-cha group decreased significantly and reached a very significant difference(P<0.001);compared with the pre-experimental period, the BMI indicators of the rumba and control groups did not change significantly and there was no significant difference(P>0.05);compared with the pre-experimental period, the WHR indicators of all three groups did not change significantly and there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The changes in WHR indexes in all three groups were not significant compared with those before the experiment(P>0.05).Compared with the pre-experimental period, the spirometry index of the cha-cha group increased significantly, reaching a highly significant difference(P<0.01);compared with the pre-experimental period, the 800M/1000 M index of the cha-cha group decreased significantly, reaching a highly significant difference(P<0.001);compared with the pre-experimental period, the lung capacity index and800M/1000 M index of the rumba and control groups did not change significantly, with no significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the rumba and control groups compared to the pre-experimental period(P>0.05).Compared with the pre-experimental period, the cha-cha group showed significant improvement in grip strength, standing long jump and sit-ups,with a highly significant difference(P<0.001).In the flexibility index, compared to the pre-experimental period, the sitting forward bending index in the cha-cha and rumba groups improved significantly, reaching a highly significant difference(P<0.001);compared to the pre-experimental period, the sitting forward bending index in the control group did not change significantly, with no significant difference(P>0.05).(2)Comparison of various indexes among the three groups of college students after the experiment: bodycomposition index,BMI index of chacha group was significantly increased compared with the control group, witha significant difference(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in cardiopulmonary endurance index, vital capacity index and 800M/1000 M index among the three groups(P>0.05).The indexes of muscle strength and muscle endurance, compared with the control group, the indexes of grip strength of chacha group and Rumba group were significantly increased(P<0.05);The index of grip strength of Chacha group was significantly increased compared with Rumba group(P<0.05).The indexes of grip strength and situp in chacha group were significantly increased compared with the control group(P<0.05).The flexibility index, compared with the control group, the seated flexion index of Chacha group and Rumba group was significantly increased, with very significant difference(P<0.05);The index of seated flexion in Chacha group was significantly increased compared with Rumba group(P<0.01).Research conclusion:(1)Students can improve their health and fitness levels to a certain extent through Latin dance studies.Cha Cha and Rumba have a positive impact on improving the body composition of university students, increasing cardiorespiratory endurance, improving muscle strength and muscle endurance levels, and increasing flexibility.(2)The collation of all data shows that Latin dance has a significant promoting effect on the improvement of the fitness level of college students, among which the chacha group has an improvement advantage in body composition, cardiopulmonary function, muscle strength and muscle endurance, and flexibility, while the Rumba group only has an obvious advantage in flexibility. |
