| Rural gentrification has gradually become a frontier area of human geography research.Along with the aging of China’s population, the rise of the middle class, the complex transformation of society and the development of urban-rural integration, the living space practice of "migratory birders" who travel seasonally between their first and second homes has become a new mobility phenomenon. The rhythmic residence of "migratory birders" has led to the destination countryside becoming a new field for multiple forces to pursue interests, the rural space has shifted from traditionally closed to mobile and open, and the rural physical landscape and social space have been reconstructed.Rural residents are important stakeholders in the development of rural gentrification, the perceived degree of profit and loss from rural gentrification affects the degree of support for rural gentrification development, and has an irreplaceable position in the study of human-environment relationship in rural gentrification. This study takes the Poyue Village in Bama as the research area, and the village residents were the main subjects, integrating qualitative and quantitative analysis tools to explore the influence effect of rural gentrification and its regulatory pathway from the perspective of social quality, which can provide new perspectives and ideas for the research related to the impact of rural gentrification, also provide management ideas and policy inspiration for promoting rural transformation development and sustainable and healthy development of rural humanenvironment relationship.Firstly, according to the relevant literature and theories,a scale of rural gentrification influence perception based on the perspective of social quality is constructed.Secondly, participant observation and semi-structured interviews are used to investigate the rural profile and the evolutionary characteristics of rural gentrification, while questionnaires are used to obtain the perceptions of rural residents on the impact of rural gentrification, and then analyze the positive and negative effects of rural gentrification in the case study area. Finally, based on the negative effects of rural gentrification from the perspective of social quality, the corresponding regulatory pathways are proposed. The results show that:(1)the local impact of rural gentrification from the social quality perspective can be categorized into six factors, which are "positive socio-economic security effect""positive social cohesion effect" "positive social empowerment effect” "negative socio-economic security effect" "negative social cohesion effect" and "negative social inclusion effect".(2)At this stage, the positive influence effect of rural gentrification on the local area outweigh the negative influence effect. The positive effects include promoting the improvement of rural infrastructure, raising the income level of rural residents, enhancing the local pride of rural residents, and improving the communication ability of rural residents, while the negative effects include increasing the gap of wealth between the rich and the poor, local environmental pollution and the disappearance of peaceful living atmosphere in the countryside.(3)There are differences in the perceived impact of rural gentrification among rural residents with different demographic characteristics, including significant differences in gender, age, participation in tourism, and residence time, but not in ethnicity, education, and monthly household income.Based on the analysis results,as well as the combination of social quality theory, social exchange theory and the regional system theory of human-environment interaction, put forward the regulatory pathways of rural gentrification effects, such as "comfort" rural community creation,"inclusive" good governance co-prosperity mechanism, and "business" rural industrial adjustment. |
