Research On The Application Of Camera Language In Food Documentary

In just few years,the domestic food documentaries have witnessed a huge development from the early little-known documentaries on food searching and appraisal to the hot release of A Bite of China in 2012.Since 2016,each local TV station and website platform that are competing to record and broadcast food documentaries have produced many excellent works.The domestic foods documentaries have obtained the more broaden stage and enhanced the vigor and influence of the whole industry.Along with the progress of digital camera technology,new shooting equipment like drone for aerial photography,macro cameras are widely used in the creation of food documentaries,offering a easy way for production.At present,the application of camera language tends to be more rich and diversified.This application contributes greatly on enhancing the visual sensory impact,to the extreme extent stimulating the audience’s synkinesis on taste.This paper takes the recent popular food documentaries as the materials to analyze function of camera language on its creation.It explores its narration expression method from the construction of narrative angle,the enhancement rhythm and presentation of narrative style.This paper will study the lyrical expression of camera language from the shooting form of the camera and the features of each camera type.It probes into the symbolism of "Lyric expression through objects" and "Lyric expression through scenes" in the camera language via the functions of suggestion,metaphor and symbol in food documentary.Based on this,it explores the aesthetic charm of camera language in food documentary from Aesthetic aspect.
