Artwork acts as a mirror to look at history that reflects the artist’s time and society.This research introduces Kathe Kollwitz,a German female artist who created artworks during the passing of two great world wars.This research introduces her artworks as a reflection of the conflict and its impact and further takes her artworks as a proof of the damages done by the war on the society.Her artworks explain how war puts society in the midst of hope and despair.In the same way,I have interpreted myself as a witness of the conflict and its impact in Nepal.I have described new challenges coming after the conflict.Comparing both the experiences I have concluded that rather than counting the number of people killed in the war,it is important to keep in mind that the impact lasts for a very long time.The impact of the conflict between Kollwitz’s and 100 years of difference in my time were same for the society.It always brings chaos,disorder,death and separation.It promotes political instability,destroys social values and impacting on economic and social development.Finally it interprets that in order to gain position and power;the youths should not be killed but instead should be proper mobilized to build a civilized society.Just as the wartime influenced Kollwitz’s artworks,the artworks should influence the new generation to be aware of the conflict and be in the hands of all..."Never Again War ".
