construction of museums,libraries,art museums and other public cultural infrastructure,and guiding and encouraging private capital to participate in the construction of social and cultural services through various forms.As a non-profit social and cultural institutions,private art museums provide knowledge service can be used as a public museum and art museum beneficial supplement knowledge service,and work together to meet various social public demand in culture and art knowledge,promote service system building and perfection of social culture and promote the vigorous development of social culture.As an important means and function to connect people and society,knowledge service of private art museums cannot be realized and improved without knowledge service as an important cultural function,as well as the exertion and fusion of energy.Meanwhile,the country’s increasingly attaches great importance to the ability of the social governance,emphasis on promoting the modernization of national governance ability development,social cultural institutions and organizations to provide knowledge service as in accordance with the socialist core values to shape people’s cultural life to the important way,need is dominated by the government to carry out with participation of various,full of strategic and creative system governance activities,Its fundamental purpose is to promote the improvement of public cultural living standards and the healthy development of social and cultural environment.Its unique attributes involve issues related to governance discourse,such as culture and power,and the relationship between the state and society.Therefore,it is necessary to introduce governance into the knowledge services of museums,art museums and other cultural institutions.The first part of this paper consists of the introduction and the first chapter.The introduction part is mainly responsible for the overall overview of the research content of the paper,put forward the research questions of this paper,literature review and summary of the cultural governance and knowledge service related issues of this paper,and explain the existing innovation and shortcomings of this paper;The first chapter mainly defines the important concepts in this paper,and elaborates and analyzes the selected theories,and discusses the feasibility of taking the museum governance thought under Tony Bennett’s cultural governance theory as the theoretical analysis framework of this paper.The second part is the main content of this paper,including the second to the fourth chapter.The second chapter mainly combs the background and development track of private art museums,and analyzes the development status of their knowledge services.At the same time,extensive data collection and field research were combined to deeply explore some problems existing in the knowledge service of private art museum industry,including low differentiation degree of knowledge service and relatively weak awareness of mass segmentation;The political orientation of knowledge service is unclear,and the cooperation with the government is insufficient;The social effect of knowledge service needs to be improved,and the strength of feedback to society is insufficient.The third chapter elaborates Tony Bennett’s cultural governance theory,introduces the inheritance and development of the theory,and summarizes the museum governance ideas in the theory.Then it discusses the governance of the knowledge service of private art museums from the two levels of knowledge and power.Knowledge and power co-exist and play the role of individual subject shaping and social construction under the interweaving and integration.It also explains the relationship between the governance function of the knowledge service of private art museums and the development of government,people and society.Finally,from two aspects of cultural aesthetic management and the construction of social body,this paper discusses how the knowledge service of private art museums can carry out governance practice for the social people.Governance should be the governance of the majority of people and constantly trigger governance reform to ensure governance activity under the separation between democracy,fairness and freedom and governance rationality.The fourth chapter returns to the practical problems raised in the second chapter,and combines the discussion on the governance practice of the knowledge service of private art museums in the third chapter,and puts forward suggestions on the optimization of knowledge service from the two aspects of art museums themselves and the government: Art museums should give full play to the function of public education of private art museums,attach great importance to the principle of mass differentiation service of private art museums,and constantly explore the idea of cooperation between private art museums and communities to give full play to the function of knowledge service.The government should correctly view the function of the knowledge service of private art museums,effectively create the conditions of the knowledge service of private art museums,and require the knowledge service of private art museums to protect the interests of the class to actively participate in the knowledge service process of private art museums.The third part of this paper is the conclusion part,which mainly summarizes the research of this paper and prospects the development direction of the knowledge service and cultural governance of private art museums in China.This article innovation mainly lies in the innovation of the research angle of view,with the existing cultural governance research based on the thinking of public museums,art museums,private museum as the research object,this study mainly focuses on the management of knowledge service for the people and society play a utility,through detailed theoretical analysis to explore the private gallery knowledge service governance practices and optimization Suggestions.Based on theoretical analysis and field investigation,this paper draws the following conclusions: As a social force,private art museums participate in China’s social and cultural service construction,which is recognized and supported by the state and the government.The nature of their knowledge service is the same as that of public art museums and museums,which is to meet the cultural needs of the masses,enrich their cultural life and improve their cultural quality.Knowledge service as an important cultural functions play a private art museums,and to use,greatly affect the quality and level of social culture service supply,aesthetic education can not only directly on the social masses and individual shape,can also affect the overall development of social culture and order,through the governance of the individual and then diverged to the governance of the whole
