Theoretical Research On Habermas’s Theory Of The Public Sphere

This article will systematically discuss Habermas’ s public sphere theory from the perspective of three representative stages of Habermas’ s theory development: In the first stage,early Habermas focused on investigating the history of the bourgeois public spheres’ Origin issues,social structures,political functions.On this basis,the formation,structure,and function of the ideal bourgeois public sphere are used to concern the problems of civil society,and the evolution and development of the public sphere are analyzed from a historicist perspective and drawn.He tries to argue for the development trend of the bourgeois public sphere and its structural transformation in today’s capitalism and the consequences of the crisis of legitimacy of the capitalist political system.In the second stage,In the second stage,Habermas transformed the concept of the public sphere by introducing his own perfected philosophy of language,namely universal pragmatics.establish the introduction of the theory of communicative behavior by the investigation and demonstration of the communicative paradigm,and further improve the development of the concept of the "public sphere",Perfects and becomes the concept of "lifeworld".thus severely criticizing the colonization of the lifeworld by late capitalism.The public sphere theory after the construction and transformation of the "ideal lifeworld" is further standardized and matured.In the third stage,Habermas’ s "public sphere" theory not only has an essential extension and expansion but also serves as a logical baseline for thinking throughout his procedures in the study of the discourse politics,world civil society issues,and deliberative democracy’s procedural Justice.After systematic discussion,we have a clear and complete grasp of Habermas’ s public sphere theory.This paper compares and analyzes the relevant philosophical discourses and commentary analysis of Marx and Fraser expounds on the theoretical predicament and historical limitations of Habermas’ s public sphere theory and analyzes and criticizes the irreconcilable class contradictions and the ideal public sphere in capitalist society.And after analyzing and criticizing the irreconcilable class contradictions in capitalist society and the practical dilemma of the ideal public sphere,use Marx’s advanced philosophy of publicness to reflect and criticize Habermas’ s public sphere theory.Based on the combination of Marxist philosophy and China’s actual practice,it tries to put forward ideas that can promote the construction and development of China’s socialist public sphere.
