| The teaching of Chinese charcters plays a significant role in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,however,which has always been a large obstacle for foreign students because of its complex structure,large number and various forms.Most of modern Chinese characters are pictophonetic characters which abound in radicals with similar meanings.And foreign students also have difficulty in learning Chinese characters composed of radicals with similar meanings.In this paper,the author takes examples of “走”radical to explore radicals with similar meanings in the teaching of Chinese characters,and reveal their relevant teaching problems.The paper makes a statistical analysis of The Graded Chinese Syllables,Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages to learn about the situation of Chinese characters containing such radicals,investigate the word-formation of such Chinese characters and analyze their acquisition of foreign learners and the teaching of teachers.Based on the above methods,some teaching suggestions are put forward in the hope of providing some useful references for the teaching of such radicals.The paper is composed of six chapters,which discuss the related issues of the noumenon study of modern Chinese characters’ radicals with similar meanings,and probe into some theoretical and practical problems of the teaching of radicals with similar meanings in teaching.Specifically,the following parts are included in this paper:The first chapter introduces the cause,current situation,aim and significance of the research.So far,although there have been some achievements focused on the study radicals with similar meanings in ancient Chinese characters,the researches of radicals with similar meanings in modern Chinese characters are almost few.Morever,some important accomplishments have been achieved about the study of specific radicals based on The Graded Chinese Syllables,Characters and words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages,but there is a critical lack of relevant researches on “走”radicals.Currently,scholars have not paid enough attention to the study of the specific form of radicals with similar meanings in modern Chinese characters,so the paper has its own significance and value.In the second chapter,the paper elucidates the basic concept,the cause of formation and token category of radicals with similar meanings.Being different from previous direction researching the form of Chinese characters,this part mainly starts from the universal phenomenon of radicals with similar meanings in ancient Chinese characters.Then,from the point of modern Chinese characters,the paper defines radicals with similar meanings,analyze their cause of generation and explore their token category.The next content is about the brief analysis of “ 走 ” radicals.It analyzes the origin and semantic function of “ 走 ”radicals,which provides theoretical support for the following content.The third chapter,based on The Graded Chinese Syllables,Characters and words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages,analyzes the word-formation of the “走”radicals in international Chinese teaching and their related words.This chapter mainly collects Chinese characters formed by “走” radicals and their related vocabulary and is dedicated to providing some useful suggestions for teachers and students.In the fourth chapter,we take the international students of the School of International Education,Anhui University as respondents and adopt questionnaire method to analyze the cognitive acquisition and teaching of “走” radicals and their related words.This part mainly sets out from two groups of teachers and international students,sets up the questionnaire specifically and pointedly,and carries on the statistical analysis to the investigation result.Based on the above measures,it provides bases for students’ study,teachers’ teaching and the development of the following contents.The fifth chapter is about the relevant recommendations of teaching and learning of the Chinese characters radicals with similar meanings.On the basis of above systematic analysis,some practical suggestions on the teaching and learning of radicals with similar meanings as well as compiling of relevant textbooks are put forwards in this chapter for reference.The last chapter is the conclusion about the whole paper.The main points and conclusions of the paper are summarized in this chapter.In addition,it also points out some limitations in this research and looks forward to relevant aspects which warrant a further study in the future. |
