This paper is a translation report based on the C-E translation practice of Pandora’s Jar.In this project, the translator takes Pandora’s Jar as a practical text and translates it under the guidance of feminist translation theory, exploring the feasibility of this theory. The book selects ten relatively representative female images from Greek mythology as the primary analysis objects and explores their evolution process in the long history. In the process of translation, the translator mainly encounters two problems. The first problem is how to deal with content that does not conform with feminist thoughts. The translator solves this problem by using the feminist translation strategy of“hijacking” to rewrite the content that does not conform to feminism. The second difficulty is how to highlight the female images in the translation(including the translator and the female characters in the text). To solve this problem, the translator adopts the strategy of “supplementing”,strengthening the image of female characters and adds a preface to explain the translator’s own feminist thoughts. The translator adopts the research method of translation case study and selects 14 examples from the original text to analyze the validity of the above strategies under the framework of feminist translation theory. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that feminist translation theory can help translators better translate feminist works.By translating this book, the translator hopes to make some contributions to the spread and development of feminist translation in China.
