Research On Image Expression Of Rural Education Documentary In Ethnic Minority Areas From The Perspective Of Thick Description

The specific social and historical process,regional economic differences and environment condition determine that the phenomenon of rural education far away from the city and directly across the ethnic mountainous areas has more prominent local and national characteristics.From the perspective of in-depth description,rural education documentaries in ethnic minority areas can show educational events in a specific time and space,covering many topics such as national unity,cultural integration,educational poverty alleviation and so on.The interdisciplinary attribute,methodology and professional ethics of the thick depiction theory and documentary creation derived from Gertz’s explanatory anthropology are the basis for the realization of image "thick depiction".This paper explores the image writing path of rural education theme in ethnic minority areas from three aspects: spatial symbol presentation,narrative construction and audio-visual expression.The rural space in ethnic areas includes three parts: material space,spiritual space and social space.The Symbolic presentation of space can explore a way from the shell of material life to the psychological world of characters.The perspective of the integration of subject and object,linear logical structure and non-fictional plot have established a narrative path of cross-cultural description for the image "thick description".Within the scope of thick depiction ethics,image audio-visual expression is based on shallow depiction,highlights the strengthening of context,attaches importance to lens aesthetics,follows the principle of truth first,and serves the image writing of facts.The thick description is a micro,specific and selective drawing.On the one hand,it is reflected in the selective attention of the camera lens to field matters,on the other hand,it is the creator’s strategic tendency in narrative mode and image expression.These are the embodiment of the subjectivity of image "thick description".
