A Study Of The Neolithic Remains Since 6000BP In The Pearl River Delta Region

The Pearl River Delta region is located in the south of Lingnan and bordered by the South China Sea,which is the core area of Lingnan culture.It played an important role in the cultural exchange between all parties in the Lingnan area during the Neolithic period.As the cultural connotation of the Pearl River Delta region changed considerably during the neolithic since 6000BP(6000-3900 years ago),the increase of archaeological discoveries of neolithic remains since 6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region and the surrounding areas in recent years has made it possible to systematically study the neolithic remains since 6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region.In this paper,based on systematic collection of materials,archaeological stratigraphy and typology,and on the basis of previous studies,the phasing of pottery excavated from 10 typical sites and 19 general sites is studied to obtain a phasing understanding of the neolithic remains since 6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region,which is divided into eight phases and four stages of development.The cultural genealogy of the neolithic remains since 6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region is initially explored,and the cultural connotations of each phase and the regional character of the development of the remains are analyzed.The whole paper is divided into five parts:Introduction: The temporal and spatial scope of this paper’s study is defined.This chapter also reviews the discovery and research history of the neolithic remains since6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region,summarizes the current status of research,and analyzes the shortcomings and problems of previous studies.In response to the existing problems,the purpose of this paper and the ideas of writing are explained.Chapter 1: Staging the the neolithic remains since 6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region.Through the staging of the current excavated and surveyed the late neolithic sites in the Pearl River Delta region that are rich in remains,the staging of the late neolithic cultural remains in the region is initially established.Chapter 2: Sorting out the cultural pedigree of the neolithic remains since6000 BP in the Pearl River Delta region.Based on the staging,and summarizing and analyzing the cultural characteristics of the remains,exploring the relationship between the remains of each period and between the remains of the same period and those of the surrounding area.Chapter 3: To explore issues related to the origin of the remains of the first phase of Baojingwan and the characteristics of regional cultural development.Conclusion: Summarizes the main ideas of the paper and the shortcomings of the paper.
