| Wu Dacheng(1835-1902),a native of Wu County,Jiangsu Province(Suzhou),courtesy name Zhijing,or Qingqing, nicknamed Kezhai, and the name of Study Room is also "Kezhai".He was a "Jinshi" in the seventh year of Tongzhi(1868).In his life,he experienced four periods of Daoguang,Xianfeng,Tongzhi and Guangxu. He was good at painting landscapes and flowers, and seal calligraphy. He was able to collect and cultivate epigraphy. The upper and lower volumes of the ancient pictures of Kezhai are in the form of paintings and full-form rubbings, showing the bronze collection of Kezhai vividly and centralised, which is also the strong proof that he is good at the study of lithology.Wu Dacheng combined the painting with the full-shaped extension, and centralised the upper and lower two long volumes of "The Kezhai jigutu".Both volumes are composed of three parts: the beginning of the volume(citation, internal signature and painting),the heart of the volume(full-shaped topology)and the end of the volume(tilogue).Among them, the first painting of the two volumes has a description of Wu Dacheng’s portrait and his collection of utensils. The centre of the two volumes is the full-shaped rubbings and inscription rubbings of some of the bronze ware he has collected. The form and content of the "The Kezhai jigutu" determine its particularity:the composition form of the upper and lower volumes is unprecedented in ancient and modern times, but this is "one picture and two volumes".Its content is of great significance to the study of the art of bronze ware and its gold and stone collection, and has the value of continuing in-depth research. Therefore, this article mainly starts from the perspective of the first painting and the full-shaped expansion of the volume of the "The Kezhai jigutu",combined with the introduction, the internal signature and the title postscript to deeply interpret the upper and lower volumes of the upper and lower volumes of Wu Dacheng, and through comparative analysis, the pattern of "The Kezhai jigutu",impact and other related research.Combined with relevant references,he sorted out his connections in the aspects of Jinshi Chuantuo,Jiaoyou and Collection, aiming to understand Wu Dacheng’s ideas of Jinshi connoisseurship and collection to explore the spiritual core of the art of full-form extension. |
