| Film art has been playing an important role in reflecting urban culture since its birth.In particular,as a pioneer in modernization,Shanghai has been repeatedly written in film texts with the dramatic changes in China’s politics,economy,and society,presenting different urban landscapes from different perspectives,and acting as an excellent carrier for the projection of political ideology and mainstream social ideology during specific historical periods.Starting from the theme of "Shanghai Drifting" in Shanghai movies,this article expounds the intertextual relationship between the fragmented "Shanghai Drifting" image in Shanghai movies and the changing urban image of Shanghai in different historical periods from the perspectives of characters,historical backgrounds,urban spiritual culture,and spatial landscapes,presenting a more authentic and diverse modern urban society from the perspective of specific Shanghai Drifting population.In the context of modernization and globalization,the image of "Shanghai drifters" is generally described,focusing on analyzing the image presentation and the urban confused spiritual world behind the two types of "Shanghai drifters",namely,"urban dreamers" and "urban escapees".The identity dilemma of urban youth is imaginatively solved in the rural narrative of idyllic nature,and the "Shanghai drifters" crowd and urban image are reconstructed from multiple images,Highlight the spirit of the new Shanghai city condensed in the changing times.Based on this research perspective,in the final part of the thesis,combined with my own practical work "Hidden Buddha",I constructed the identity transformation path of "Shanghai Drifting New Shanghainese" from three aspects:narrative form,character image,and regional space.I emphasized that Shanghai themed films should break through the patterned creation of Shanghai style culture,fully reflecting the urban cultural spirit of the current New Shanghai and even the new cities of China. |
