| With the advent of the intelligent era,the powerful function of information technology is showing its brilliance day by day.English stories are important to primary school English teaching,which have a natural appeal to primary school students,and primary school is a key stage of students’ language development.Therefore,more attention should be paid to the application of information technology in English story teaching in primary schools.There are various types of information technology and various forms of expression,so primary school English teachers should use it reasonably and efficiently,in order to better play the effective function of information technology in primary school English story teaching.By combining qualitative research with quantitative research,this study examines the current situation of the application of information technology in primary school English story teaching from five dimensions:teaching environment under information technology,English teachers’ overall information literacy,the degree of attention paid to English stories,teachers’ views on information technology and the practical application of information technology.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 233 primary school English teachers in Chongqing urban and rural primary schools,and 16 normal classes of primary school English stories were observed,and some teachers and students were interviewed.SPSS 24 was used for reliability and validity analysis,descriptive analysis,difference analysis and correlation analysis.Combined with observation and interview records,the existing problems were revealed and their causes were analyzed,and the improvement strategies were proposed for the application of information technology in English story teaching in primary schools.Through the collation and analysis of the collected data,this study found that the current teaching environment under the information technology can basically meet the needs of primary school English story teaching,primary school English teachers have good overall information literacy,and hold a positive attitude towards the application of information technology.However,there are still some problems in English story teaching,such as the information equipment is not used effectively,some students are difficult to adapt to information-based English story teaching,the application of information technology in English story teaching is conformist,information-based English story teaching is separated from traditional teaching,information technology is superficial in conveying English story philosophy,and the lack of information technology in the feedback of story teaching effect.This study analyzes the problems found and explores the causes of the problems,which mainly include: The school equipment and training management system is not perfect,the starting point of information-based English story teaching is too high,teachers lack of information-based story teaching innovative ideas,information technology is exaggerated in story teaching,the deep value of technology in story mining is ignored,and the role of technology in story assignment design is ignored.Accordingly,this study puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies from the school and teachers.School: improve the equipment manual,regular assessment of teachers’ operation;Regular inspection of professional personnel,equipment maintenance implementation;For English story teaching,fully implement technical training;Reasonable arrangement of English classes,encourage teachers to make their own courseware;Add story reading equipment,carry out story performance activities.Teachers:Using flipped classroom concept for reference,layered story teaching design;Create life information situation,story philosophy layer by layer infiltration;Integrate high quality technical resources and grasp the highlights of story teaching;Organic combination of teaching means to optimize the teaching effect of stories;Skillful use of technology to design homework,highlighting the interest of story work. |
