Research On The Application Of Public Art In Park Communities

The new concept of "park city" was first proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Sichuan in early 2018,and the park city embodies the concept of ecological civilization development,and the park city is the future direction of urban development,while the park community is the smallest cell of the park city.The park community is the smallest cell of the park city,and the exploration of the park community concept and construction methods is the need of the times in the new stage of urban development.Traditional communities aim to address the most basic needs of residents,focusing on the construction of the physical space of the community and the provision of basic services and facilities for residents,but as people’s material and spiritual needs continue to change and develop,the demand for the community is not only the improvement of the spatial environment,but also a sense of cultural identity and belonging in the community,and compared with traditional communities,park communities not only meet the Compared to traditional communities,park communities not only meet the residents’ demand for high quality physical space,but also focus more on creating a sense of spiritual belonging in the community.As a cultural phenomenon,public art can intervene in the park community space in a flexible way,not only increasing the artistic atmosphere of the park community and beautifying the physical space environment,but also continuing the historical heritage of the park community,bringing the residents closer together and giving them a sense of belonging and identity.The thesis takes the intervention of public art in the public space of park communities as the research object,and explores the paths and methods of public art intervention in park communities against the background of the practice of the concept of "park city" in the new era.On the basis of defining relevant concepts,the thesis compares the development of public art,summarises the characteristics of public art and the six major forms of intervention,clarifies the concepts and connotations of park cities and park communities,explores the important value of public art intervention in park communities,analyses classic domestic and international practice cases,summarises the public art intervention methods,the results of the interventions and the inspiration for this paper,makes a horizontal comparison of the four cases,and summarises The paper also examines the application elements of public art intervention in park communities,proposes principles and strategies for public art intervention in park communities,and applies the application strategies to the design practice of the Chengdu Jinyang Community Jiaotzu Art Park,demonstrating the rationality of the research strategies proposed in this paper through design practice.The thesis is innovative in terms of research perspective,selecting the research object as a park community.By combining basic theoretical research,classical case studies and empirical design practice,the thesis explores the strategies of public art intervention in park communities,providing paths and methods for the construction of park community environments and spiritual homes,as well as providing certain references for the construction of park communities and emerging communities.
