A Study On The Discourse Of "Fallen Young Women" In The Literature Of The New Er

The concept of “Delinquency”is not something that only exists today.It has already appeared in traditional cultural history and has been used to describe different subject types in different social stages.However,in the “New period”,a large amount of knowledge about “Delinquent female youth”was produced.It is precisely a term that needs to be redefined.Different from the modern meaning of “delinquent women,” but as an important component of the “youth problem”in contemporary literary history.This paper examines the relationship between this social phenomenon and politics from an interdisciplinary perspective of contemporary Chinese literature,cultural studies,and social history.Drawing on Foucault’s discourse analysis method and the concept of “governmentality”.In this process,we see how the “New period”redefined delinquent young women,expressed the relationship between society and individuals,and how the entire discourse configuration of “Delinquent female youth”has undergone changes.Firstly,I summarizes the changes in the connotation of the “delinquency” concept and the discussions triggered by the problem of delinquent youth in the “New period”by organizing textual materials from around the foundiing of PRC.This leads to the discovery of some characteristics that distinguish delinquent young women from young men in the “New period”.Then,by examining the portrayal of young women in “Seventeen-Year Literature” the article investigates the rupture in the production mode of the discourse of “Delinquent female youth” in the “New period”.In order to grasp the internal logic of the socialist new order hidden behind it,the article relies on several typical texts and takes the “body” of delinquent young females as a important point to analyze the discourse’s affirmation of female natural gender and the governance intention of re-creating outstanding young women.The analysis though“physiological” “madness” and “sexualization” of the body of delinquent young women.Finally,I read these texts from the level of spatial discipline and takes the family,reformatory and work camps.In this way,we can analyzes how the "Delinquent female youth" were integrated back into the order of“political-administrative”.
