The thesis aims to explore the innovation of Oe Kenzaburo’s novel formation under the perspective of Rimbaud’s poetic thought,as well as the forest thought and the thinking of the soul salvation in the process of his creation,so as to have a deeper understanding of his literature experiment.Oe Kenzaburo is the pioneer of the form change of contemporary Japanese literature, and form innovation has become a prominent feature of Oe literature. This article will first discuss the private novel strategy, dialogue narrative structure and symbolic devices of Oe’s fictional novels. When Oe Kenzaburo read Rimbaud’s poems,he resonated with Rimbaud’s poetic thought of “I am another”,and found the identity of the narrator that he has been paying attention to for a long time. After“Personal Experience”,Oe Kenzaburo has been trying to build novels based on his real life,so that the creation can be oriented to himself. At the same time,he adopts a meta-fiction technique, which does not hide the narrative method of the novel, sends two signals to the readers,“this is real” and “this is not real”,dissolves the boundary between reality and fiction, and thus endows the novel with a sense of illusory colors.Secondly,Oe Kenzaburo was influenced by Rimbaud’s thoughts of new language when exploring the stylistic features of his novels.Just as Rimbaud likes to use slang, dialects, and technical terms in his poems,Oe like using French-like translation sentence patterns,Chinese characters, and loanwords which makes his language obscure and reading difficultly.Rimbaud wanted to find a language that was independent of all semantic rules. His new definition of language provided a new idea for Oe Kenzaburo to reconstruct the language of his novels. Therefore,Oe’s literary language is different from the Japanese “sad and beauty” literary tradition. He uses a large number of digital and image devices to expand the internal tension of the novel.Furthermore,Oe Kenzaburo’s novels have intertextual characteristics since the beginning of his creation, and Oe even developed intertextuality into a discourse strategy in his novels in his later years. In the text,he realizes the communication between writers, that is,Oe Kenzaburo himself discusses a certain topic with different Western writers. He not only quotes Western philosophy, novels, poems and even comics in his texts,he also treats his past novels as a kind of internal text. Finally,it is Oe Kenzaburo’s inheritance and development of Rimbaud’s poetic thought. How to understand Oe Kenzaburo’s creative philosophy more deeply has to consider his understanding of Rimbaud’s “changing life with poetry”.Oe Kenzaburo repeatedly quoted Rimbaud’s “Farewell” and “Bad Blood” of “The Season of Hell” in“The Stolen Child”.He thinks Rimbaud is a genius stolen by goblins, and this genius is a child left by Christ. The spiritual encounter between Rimbaud and Oe was by no means accidental. The same as a poet and novelist of humanism,Oe Kenzaburo continued to write based on Rimbaud’s idea of seeking the true life inspired by it.How to deal with the places where life exists is one of the core themes of Oe Kenzaburo’s later creations. He replied in “The Stolen Child”: “The roots of trees firmly grasp the ground.” This is obviously the answer and inheritance of Rimbaud’s poetic ideal.By analyzing Oe Kenzaburo’s acceptance of Rimbaud’s poetics, and then understanding Oe’s experimental spirit in novel writing,we can not only see the form innovation of Oe’s novel, but also understand how Oe Kenzaburo explored the creation method of novels in his long-term writing career.Constantly update his novel creation methods,so as to build his own literary world.
