CCTV Beijing Winter Olympics Documentary On The Expression Of Chinese Sportsmanship

With the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics,CCTV has produced many related documentaries.These documentaries have a broader creative space and a richer audiovisual language in terms of excavating the connotation of sports culture and profoundly displaying the spirit of sports,so they carry important publicity and cultural communication functions.However,at present,the sports documentaries produced by CCTV still have shortcomings in presenting the spirit of Chinese sports.Therefore,this paper takes the presentation of Chinese sportsmanship in CCTV’s documentary on the theme of the Beijing Winter Olympics as the research object,uses the documentary data method,case analysis method,text analysis method and mathematical statistics method,mainly combined with audiovisual linguistics to analyze the sample,and uses semiotic theory in visual expression to analyze,according to the unique Chinese sports spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympics,explore the presentation and artistic expression of the sportsmanship content of this period in the documentary.It finds out the problems of documentaries in presenting Chinese sportsmanship,and provides certain reference significance for documentaries to better show the creation of Chinese sportsmanship.By reviewing literature and analyzing video texts,this article summarizes the Chinese sportsmanship during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics into five.The characteristics of expressing the Chinese sportsmanship are explored from the aspects of lens images,sound language,post-editing and related symbols.At the same time,the research in this paper finds that there are still deficiencies in the presentation of Chinese sportsmanship in the Beijing Winter Olympics documentary,and the viewing habits of foreign audiences are ignored in the creative perspective.lack of suspense and conflict in the plot content;Sound language relies too much on narration;There is a lack of emotional connection in the aesthetic aspect of the masses.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward for the filming of the future Winter Olympics-themed documentaries to present the Chinese sportsmanship: the concept and method should consider the acceptance habits of foreign audiences;In terms of narrative technique,it is necessary to combine real records with suspense and conflict;The sound language should highlight the details and depict them artistically;The public aesthetic should promote emotional baptism and collective composition.It is hoped that through the analysis of CCTV’s documentary on the Beijing Winter Olympics,CCTV’s way of presenting Chinese sports spirit in the shooting and production of relevant sports documentaries can be effectively improved,so as to deeply display the continuous development of Chinese sports spirit,and at the same time,it is also hoped that the research results can have reference significance for other sports documentaries produced by satellite TV,platforms and other sports documentaries to present Chinese sportsmanship.
