Ideological Theory From The Perspective Of Althusser’s Reproduction

Louis-Pierre Althusser was a leading contemporary French Marxist philosopher and one of the key figures of 20 th century European ’critical’ Marxism.From the point of vie w of the history of ideas,Althusser is a theoretically distinctive thinker who pioneered a n analysis and critique of ideological theory that changed the previous way of critique,a socio-political analysis in a "phenomenological" way,a social critique that was close to t he reality of capitalist society.He uses the symptomatic reading method as a logical start ing point to interpret what is hidden in classical economics,revealing the cold reality hid den under the mysterious veil of modern state ideology through a keen insight and sens e of crisis.By taking the perspective of the immaterial conditions of reproduction,which make knowledge a production,and by focusing on the mechanisms of ideological indoc trination subservient to bourgeois relations of domination,and by explaining the contex ts in which ideology occurs,its theoretical foundations and its laws of operation,New po ints out that ideology is not only a system of ideas,but also an existing and specific appa ratus of the state.This state apparatus succeeds in concealing its own intentions of domi nation and secures the hidden foundations of social reproduction through the "shield" o f the repressive state apparatus.The issue of ideology has always been a "hotbed" of academic research at home an d abroad,and there is an "unresolved relationship" between Althusserian reproduction and ideology,which is "unspoken and unsaid"."It is a vivid and theoretical fragrance,poi nting out that ideology is the production of meaning related to power,focusing on the si tuation of individual modernity,re-examining the reality of life,which is no longer an ov erlapping relationship between various fields of perception,but a revealing of the relati onship between the individual and society,starting from the reality of life practice,devel oping an understanding of ideology and the subject’s existence.Althusser’s fundamental change in philosophical thinking from ’theory’ to ’practice’ adds a value dimension to th e world of life and,despite its theoretical limitations,adds colour to the real life of huma n beings,bringing life back to the ’thing itself’.The "thing in itself".Just as Marx consiste ntly pursued the emancipation of the human being,Althusser always explored a true gra sp of social history and a possible path to a better life.Althusserian ideological theory is not a complete closed loop;there are theoretical interpretations of the subject,ideology,the relationship between subject and ideology,and the question of freedom that emanate a radiant light.Althusser’s theory of ideology in the perspective of reproduction has made a significant contribution to the reinterpret ation of modernity,so much so that it is involuntary to follow the path opened by Althus ser in the profound exploration of modernity.
