Music Poetry--The Broken Thoughts of the Silk Road is a symphonic suite composed of four movements of Ancient Road,Desert,Love Song and Mulberry Field,composed by Han Lankui,a famous Chinese composer,in 2003,showing the charm of the Silk Road.The first draft of the composition was completed in the form of a national orchestra.On the evening of November 8,2003,the performance of Chinese string Instruments--a series of Qin and Hu Development Achievements was co-sponsored by the Ethnic Music Committee of Chinese Musicians Association,the Composition Committee of Chinese Musicians Association,the Ethnic Orchestral Society of China and Xi ’an Conservatory of Music."Huale New Charm" large-scale national orchestral concert.Later,it was changed to an orchestral version without the second movement,"The Desert",which was performed in "Vienna on January 31,2005--Chinese New Year Concert".As a masterpiece showing the charm of the Silk Road,it has been staged in various regions of China,and also in Austria,Singapore and other countries,which shows the high popularity of the work.The internationality,artistry,nationality and audibility of the Silk Road culture and music itself contained in Music Poetry--The Broken Thoughts of the Silk Road deserve our continuous analysis and study.This paper mainly analyzes the national orchestra and orchestral orchestration techniques in the four movements of the work.Based on the musical structure,this paper analyzes the composition design,the combination of horizontal and vertical methods,and the principle of multi-directional comprehensive three-dimensional analysis,including the analysis of several links,such as band arrangement,instrument method,timbre,range,sound effect,strength and rhythm.Then I have a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the characteristics of the national orchestra and orchestral orchestration techniques of this work,and also learn the orchestration thinking and orchestration techniques of the composer for the same work with different orchestration.
