Exploration Of Virtual Reality(VR)Design Based On Traditional Mural Art Forms

With the development of digital technology,a considerable part of human’s work,entertainment and social life has shifted from offline to online,and the outbreak of the epidemic has pushed the world to move towards a digital life.The dissemination and protection of traditional mural art is facing huge impacts and challenges.Traditional mural protection methods can protect the material body of murals,but,in the background of the digital times,they cannot resist murals and even countless traditional arts and cultures in the human spiritual world.perish.In the process of exploring the virtual simulation design based on the traditional mural art form,the author tried to verify the feasibility of three-dimensional murals,providing a reference path and creation method for the digital innovation of murals,and helping to better inherit and develop Chinese traditional mural culture.,to find practical paths for the protection and development of traditional art forms in the context of the digital age.This paper summarizes the five trends of traditional mural art forms,which are gradually diversified communication methods,multi-dimensional expressions,immersive digital experience,timely feedback information transmission,and interactive motivation based on information and experience;As a practical object,the mural of "Wenshu Bian" is digitized by using virtual reality(VR)technology to realize multiple forms of expression;meanwhile it is concluded that the use of multi-dimensional perspectives to enrich forms of expression,immersive experience optimize user experience,deepen information transmission and enhance transmission efficiency Three design strategies to guide my virtual reality(VR)design practice for the "Wenshu Bian" mural.The first is to construct a multi-dimensional perspective the three-dimensionalization of the murals of "Wenshu Bian".In order to carry out the 3D of murals with reason,and to construct a reasonable,credible,three-dimensional modelthat conforms to the image of the murals,I started from the image dimension representing words,the imagery dimension representing images,and the concrete dimension representing objects,and constructed the “information dimension of murals”model.using this as a guide to collect relevant information to provide a reference for the three-dimensionalization of murals,and to explore the practical methods and paths for converting objects in the murals of “Wenshu Bian” into three-dimensional models.The second is to create an immersive experience-the construction of the mural space of “Wenshu Bian”.When I build the VR space of "Wenshu Bian",in order to restore the unique perspective of the murals and close to the author’s creative intentions while building a three-dimensional immersive space,I analyzed the unique spatial structure of "wall sculptures" in Chinese temples,and summarized the murals.The three-dimensional principle of the scene has established the construction idea of mainly based on the plane layout and supplemented by the depth relationship,so as to carry out the construction of the virtual simulation space of the "Wenshu Bian" murals.The last is to deepen the communication of information-the exploration of the virtual simulation interactive design of the “Wenshu Bian”.Aiming at the two pain points of the existing mural information communication: complicated information sending and boring receiving process.I sorted out the information levels of the murals of “Wenshu Bian”;divided the presentation methods of the mural information in the virtual simulation into three types: voice,three-dimensional,text & image;according to the information level,I designed the necessary information to guide the display,simple Natural interaction of information and simple interaction of complex information,in order to gradually improve the desire to guide the audience to explore and deepen the efficiency of mural information transmission;Integration to create a more immersive digital experience.
