A Study On The Narrative Language Of Interactive Illustration

With the development of technology,interactive illustration,as an emerging medium for visual information dissemination,needs to summarize its own narrative language,and the study of its narrative language focuses on the accuracy of definition and the operable of methodology.This paper takes the narrative language of interactive illustration as the research object,analyzes its features and advantages based on theoretical studies at home and abroad,and aims to grasp its core connotation and methodology,and then apply it to the practical operation of revitalizing Chinese traditional culture.First,predecessors have not yet formed a clear and perfect definition of the narrative language of interactive illustration.According to the relevant terms and articles of many scholars,the author obtains the basic connotation of the narrative language of interactive illustration: interactive illustration is a cross media that integrates the characteristics of new media interaction technology on the basis of integrating the characteristics of static images and dynamic images,Its narrative language enables the creative subject and object to participate in the creation process of the story,and affects the completion and presentation of the final work.This paper summarizes three characteristics of the narrative language of interactive illustration:non-linearity,interactivity and immersion.The narrative language of interactive illustration is non-linear,which is a fragmented,randomized and non-linear narrative structure naturally presented by the presentation,audience entry and interaction of the interactive illustration works;the interactive nature of the narrative language refers to the interaction between virtual and reality,human-computer interaction and two-way communication interaction;the immersive narrative language of interactive illustration refers to the audience’s ability to The immersive narrative language of illustration refers to the viewer’s ability to enter the environment in which the work is displayed and to achieve a state of total engagement.These three features are intertwined and influenced by each other,and are inseparable.The non-linear feature enables the user’s viewing logic to be detached from the limitations of space and time,enabling them to experience new pleasures in the randomness and serendipity of online thinking.The interactive feature enables users to participate in the creation of the work through their personal actions,thus changing its surface form,internal structure and final result.The immersion feature enables users to have a full-sensory,full-body,full-spectrum simulation experience in the digital virtual works.Secondly,by analyzing the three narrative language features and combining them with user needs,the advantages of interactive illustration narrative language over traditional illustration narrative language are discussed,which are: large competitive advantage,wide audience,the application of interactive illustration narrative language can provide users with a quality experience that is difficult to achieve with traditional media;good viewing experience,strong sense of immersion,and the immersive experience possessed by interactive illustration,which provides the interactive The immersive experience of interactive illustration provides the ideal prerequisite for the display of interactive illustration works;the strong narrative expression and the deep understanding of the audience,the narrative expression of interactive illustration has a strong tension,while the static illustration is limited by the medium and its expressive power is also limited.It is further speculated that the development and application of narrative language in interactive illustration will mainly follow the trend of humanization of creative media and normalization of intervention in public places.Finally,the characteristics,advantages and prospects of the narrative language derived from the analysis and research are applied to the creation of works that revitalize traditional culture.The practical session analyzes and extracts the cultural features in the interactive illustration works,and designs the interactive functions in the works by combining the features of narrative language.Through repeated practice,we clarify the feasibility of narrative language and compile the results of interactive illustration narrative language practice with reference value.
