Research On The Evolution Of Images In The Epic Of King Gesar

As an important visual and cultural symbol in the cultural practice of the epic poem Gesar,the image of Gesar is a special form of artistic expression in Tibetan painting art and the heroic epic poem Gesar.It plays an important role in the inheritance and protection of the epic.This paper mainly uses literature research,image research and field research and other research methods to explain the emergence,development and current situation of Gesar images from the evolution history of Gesar images.A detailed analysis was conducted on the diverse phenomena that emerged during the emergence and development of the images in Gesar.The basic definition and classification of the images in Gesar were provided,such as text illustrations,Thangkas,murals,prints,stone carvings,sculptures,Gesar style Guandi statues,masks,and anime.This article discusses the origin,evolution,and functional value of the Gesar images from the perspectives of their development,evolution,and other aspects.The full text consists of three parts: introduction,main text,and conclusion.The introduction section explores the research purpose and significance,summarizes the current research status at home and abroad,and explains the research methods of this paper.The main text consists of three chapters: Chapter 1 is about the concept and classification of images in Gesar;The second chapter discusses the development status of Gesar images in different periods,and discusses the characteristics of Gesar images in each period;Chapter 3 is an analysis of the reasons,functions,and values of the image changes in Gesar.The final part is the conclusion.The research on the development of the images in Gesar has a significant impact on the dissemination of the epic poem and the study of Gesar’s image,especially in exploring the ethnic spirit expressed in the images,promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture,and exploring the functions and values of various ethnic folk painting creations.
