Zeng Fanren is one of the pioneers of Chinese ecological aesthetic thought and has a major historical mission and social responsibility for the resreach of Chinese ecological aesthetic thought.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,people have paid more attention to the natural environment,explored the relationship between man and nature,emphasized the friendly coexistence of man and nature,and put forward the ecological concept of "green water and green hills are the silver mountain of gold".Based on the actual situation in China,Zeng Fanren combined the excellent ecological resources of ecological aesthetics from China and the West to construct China’s ecological aesthetics thought in the new era,opened up a new vision for the development of contemporary aesthetics and promoted the development of aesthetics.This article examines the origins of Zeng Fanren’s ecological aesthetic thought from three perspectives.The first chapter deals with Zeng Fanren’s idea of ecological aesthetics,which is the main element in the construction of his theory and the basis for the discussion in the next two chapters.One is the ecological existential view of aesthetics.Zeng Fanren absorbed the relevant theories of Chinese and Western ecological existential philosophy,focusing on existential aesthetics,ecological holism and aesthetic existence,elaborated on the harmonious relationship between man and nature,and formed his own ecological existential view.The second is the theory of ecological aesthetic nature,which is a systematic discussion at the level of ecological ontology and aesthetics,pointed out that the intimate relationship between human beings and natural ecology and aesthetic activities are the nature of human beings,and that this is an important category of ecological aesthetic thought.Thirdly,the concept of ecological aesthetic education,which is Zeng Fanren’s first idea in the field of aesthetic education,emphasised the cultivation of people’s ecological aesthetics and aimed to "establish a correct view of nature","build an aesthetic way of life" and "cultivate a participatory aesthetic approach",based on the realities of China,and devoted itself to cultivating a new generation of socially-oriented talents who are well-rounded in moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic development,thereby promoted the development of aesthetic education in China.Chapter 2 deals with Zeng Fanren’s inheritance of ancient Chinese ecological wisdom resources.Confucianism’s "the unity of heaven and man","not violating agricultural times" and "benevolence and love for the people",Taoism’s "the way of nature","the unity of all things" and "the world of supreme virtue",and Buddhism’s "equality of all beings","kindness to nature" and "the pure land in the world" are ecological ideas that reflect the ancient Chinese philosophers’ thoughts on the relationship between man and nature,and have become Chinese resources for the construction of ecological aesthetics,which are conducive to the promotion of traditional Chinese culture and the spread of the ecological spirit of the Chinese nation culture.The third chapter discusses Zeng Fanren’s acceptance of Western ecological aesthetic resources,expounded the important theories of Marx’s materialistic practice theory,Heidegger’s existential philosophy and Western environmental aesthetics,analyzes the core points of these theories,absorbed them,and incorporated them into his own aesthetic constructions.His thought of ecological aesthetics breaks away from the dichotomy of subject and objected advocated by traditional epistemology and sought to establish a holistic concept of ecology,analyzes the relationship between man and nature from the perspective of ontology,viewed nature as part of human society and achieved a harmonious coexistence of two.Finally,it discusses the practical value and significance of Zeng Fanren’s ecological aesthetic thought,which has both humanistic and aesthetic connotations,and a clear understanding of China’s current blueprint for building a "beautiful China".His ecological aesthetics ideas are important to our understanding of the exchange and development of ecological aesthetics between China and the West,and are conducived to the innovation of the construction of contemporary aesthetic disciplines in China,further enriched the current research of China’s ecological aesthetic theory.
