A Study Of Mao Dun’s 50th Anniversary

As an extremely important writer in the history of modern Chinese literature,scholars have studied Mao Dun in all aspects,but there are not many special studies on the 50 th birthday commemoration of Mao Dun held in 1945.Mao Dun’s 50 th birthday commemoration was initiated by the Southern Bureau of the Communist Party of China,and there are many political significances,but they are not limited to this.This article tries to show the diverse and complex historical scenes of that time,and hopes to be helpful to the study of Mao Dun and the literature of the Great Rear.The introduction part of the thesis includes the research purpose and significance,the review of the research status,and the research methods,ideas and innovations.It is intended to show research ideas,express comprehensive cognition of research objects,and present historical facts.The main content is to sort out the historical context and review the research of predecessors to clarify the academic starting point and research value of the paper.The first chapter mainly explores the historical context of Mao Dun’s 50 th birthday commemoration.First of all,this paper examines the preparation time of Mao Dun’s 50 th birthday commemoration.Secondly,this paper takes the selection of the time node of the "Shoumao" activity as the starting point,and carefully investigates the political and cultural environment at the time of the launch of the "Shoumao" activity,and finds that the reason why the Southern Bureau of the Communist Party of China chose to hold the "Shoumao" activity on June 24,1945 was to create momentum for the release of "Before and After Qingming" from a microscopic point of view,and from a macroscopic point of view,it was to unite and guide cultural people in a legal way after the dissolution of the cultural union and promote the dissemination of the "speech" in the national unification area.The second chapter analyzes the multiple discourse constructs of Mao Dun’s 50 th birthday commemoration.By using the legal form of the birthday celebration activity,the Southern Bureau captured the discursive resources of the Kuomintang authorities and Mao Dun’s own literary influence,shaping Mao Dun’s literary path over the past 25 years into the historical path of "people’s literature and art",making Mao Dun an agent of "people’s literature and art",and constructing its own historical legitimacy in the new literary tradition of "people’s literature and art".Thus,the two major political objectives of establishing the direction of literary and artistic development of "people’s literature and art" and calling on intellectuals to strengthen their political stand have been achieved.Chapter 3 comprehensively and meticulously excavates,organizes and interprets the unfolding process of Mao Dun’s 50 th birthday commemoration.This article excavates the historical materials related to the "Shoumao" activity from the news reports at that time and the biographies,chronologies,letters,diaries and memoirs of the relevant personnel of the "Shoumao" activity,and combs in detail the relevant personnel of the "Shoumao" activity,the scene of the birthday party,the special sale of Mao Dun’s works,and the Mao Dun literary and artistic bonus essay activity.Chapter 4 focuses on the changes that Mao Dun produced after his 50 th birthday commemoration.Mao Dun accurately understood the political intention of the Southern Bureau to construct "people’s literature and art" through the "Shoumao" activity,adjusted his ideological position in time,and actively participated in the discourse practice of "people’s literature and art" in the rear area.The change in the conception of "Before and After Qingming" clearly shows the process of Mao Dun’s self-adjustment.At the same time,Mao Dun,who became a "banner",not only created theories and works with the people’s standpoint,but also demonstrated a posture of self-transformation for Chinese intellectuals,which influenced the development of contemporary literature.
