When General Secretary Xi Jinipng inspected Yungang,he pointed out that"Yungang Grottoes are a world cultural heritage.Protecting Yungang Grottoes well is not only of Chinese significance,but also of world significance.It is necessary to deeply explore the historical connotation of the exchanges and exchanges of various ethnic groups contained in Yungang Grottoes and enhance the sense of the Chinese national community 2."Yungang Grottoes is one of the most representative Buddhist grotto art in China.It is a world cultural heritage and a national treasure.It was created by the Tuoba Xianbei ethnic group thousands of years ago and has immeasurable historical,scientific and artistic value.Through the great Yungang Grottoes art entity,people can see and think of the spirit and thought of an ethnic group that has passed away in its heyday,which is worth thinking and learning from today’s people.Yungang Grottoes have great cultural value and potential,but at present,the development of the cultural and artistic value of Yungang Grottoes still needs to be further strengthened,and the historical and cultural connotation of Yungang Grottoes needs to be further explored,and the "Yungang Story" needs to be told well.In the fast-paced era of picture reading,picture books,as a form of books that use pictures to guide words,can more effectively attract people’s attention and arouse people’s interest.The combination of pictures and text to efficiently convey information and the interest contained in pictures makes reading more relaxed and enjoyable.In the form of a popular science picture book,the author intuitively described people and events in the history of Yungang Grottoes to the audience with both pictures and texts.The title of the book "See Yungang People Again","See Yungang People Again" and "View" have two meanings,which are intended to enable the audience to return to history,see the stories of all living beings and old people in Yungang history,and see Yungang again after changing from history to the current time node,Reflect on how today’s culture learns and draws on the essence of ancient ideas.The main content of this article will be carried out from the following four parts:The first part studies and elaborates the research background,research purpose and research significance of the Yungang Grottoes’ history and culture and popular science picture books,reviews the literature related to the history and culture of Yungang Grottoes and analyzes the deficiencies of the current research situation of Yungang Grottoes,The second part,through the academic research and investigation of the history and culture of Yungang Grottoes,takes the main figures and events in the history of Yungang Grottoes as the research object,to find the construction opportunity of Yungang Grottoes and explore the spiritual connotation behind Yungang Grottoes.The third part,based on the development of the picture-book design of the stories of the old people in the history of Yungang Grottoes,analyzes the excellent works of relevant subjects through case analysis,and serves as an important reference for practical design.The fourth part,based on the relevant design theories,analyzes,conceives and derives the element extraction,color matching,composition and text design of the picture book,displays the history of Yungang through the picture book design,and carries out the relevant derivative design,which plays the role of icing on the cake for the popularization and publicity of the historical knowledge of Yungang Grottoes.
