National unity is one of the basic characteristics and core contents of socialist ethnic relations,and it is also a goal pursued by the Communist Party and the state.Documentaries with a theme of national unity have always been an important component of contemporary documentaries,as well as an important carrier for showcasing national culture and cultural spirit.While demonstrating strong cultural heritage,they also demonstrate a unique national and regional identity.To become an innovative model for comprehensively implementing the Party Central Committee’s strategy of governing Xinjiang,and to become the main carrier and important link for Xinjiang universities to carry out ethnic unity and progress education;Becoming an important symbol of the effectiveness of ethnic unity and progress education in Xinjiang’s universities.The new recognition of the mainstream discourse power of the Chinese nation not only triggers everyone’s cultural consciousness,condenses the shared spiritual beliefs of all ethnic groups,but also continuously guides national unity to a higher level.The graduation work "The Day of Pomegranate Blossoming" is set against the background of the "Three Entries,Two Links,and One Friendship" activity,documenting the vivid practice of Zunong teachers,Ge Jinbo,and Avaguri from Xinjiang Academy of Arts in their learning and life regarding ethnic unity.It helps to strengthen the ideological and political education work in universities,cultivate the awareness of the Chinese national community,and comprehensively demonstrate the thinking and responsibility of the Chinese national community.This article takes the documentary as the research object,combines narrative theory with audio-visual language methods,and uses comparative research and image analysis methods to systematically analyze the narrative of national unity themed documentaries using practical cases.This article is divided into six chapters: Chapter 1 elaborates on the background significance and research content related to the topic selection,Chapter 2 combs out the basic concepts of documentaries and their narrative strategies,Chapter 3 analyzes the relationship between documentary structure and narrative strategies,Chapter 4 studies lens language from the perspectives of narrative strategies and plot settings,and Chapter 5 elaborates on the specific application of detail expression in narrative strategies,The sixth chapter explains the mainstream value and significance of narrative strategies from a historical perspective,comprehensively showcasing the thinking and responsibility of the Chinese nation’s community with a shared future.This article provides text analysis materials for the audience to interpret documentaries on ethnic unity,attempting to provide new ideas for the narrative research of ethnic unity documentaries in the future.
