| Shi Tao is a huge master of landscape painting in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,whose works not only take advantage of the lengths of his predecessors,but also master the natural creation,presenting a distinctive spiritual outlook.Composition is an important part of traditional Chinese painting,also known as chapter method,which Xie He of the Southern Dynasty called in his book "Ancient Painting Pinnacle".The different names reflect the importance that painters have attached to the composition over the ages.Composition is the painter’s perception of life,which most intuitively expresses the painter’s creative intention and forms a unique personal appearance.A masterful painter can always give people a sense of fullness,harmony,completeness and unity within a restricted plane space with an exquisite arrangement of composition.This paper takes Shi Tao’s landscape painting composition theory as an entry point to study Shi Tao’s landscape painting composition program.Shi Tao’s unconventional and unique composition proposition and composition form are the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese landscape painting,and at the same time,it has profound guiding significance for the creation of urban landscape painting.The article consists of three parts,the first part is the introduction,which includes the purpose of the thesis,the significance of the study and the current status of domestic and international research on Shi Tao;the second part,the first and second chapters,starts from the history of the formation of Shi Tao’s landscape painting composition style,and discusses the composition theory in Shi Tao’s "The Book of Paintings","The Realm Chapter" and "The Path Chapter"."The Path chapter" is interpreted.Through the image analysis method,the composition of Shi Tao’s representative landscape painting works is summarized and organized,and the innovative forms of the composition of these works are studied,and composition programs such as "three stacks and two sections" and "truncation" are summarized;the third part is the third chapter,which adopts the practical research method The third part is the third chapter,which adopts the practical research method to combine Shi Tao’s landscape painting composition program with creation,and elaborates on the use of Shi Tao’s landscape painting composition program in creation,so as to explore the similarities between traditional landscape painting and contemporary urban landscape painting,to innovate urban landscape painting on the basis of tradition,and to explore more breakthrough space for the creation of urban landscape painting. |
