Archetype And Shaping Research Of Character Image In Character Documentary

As one of the important categories of documentaries,the character documentaries is of great significance for the audience to experience various life experiences in order to improve aesthetic experience,expand life experience,reflect on themselves,and accept the life inspiration of others.Characters are the focus of this kind of documentaries.How to choose characters,how to shape their images,and how to express them are all necessary issues in character documentaries.Archetypal Criticism has a crucial influence on artistic creation,which can awaken the collective unconsciousness of the audience,so as to reflect the characteristics of the times and satisfying the spiritual needs of the public.This is exactly the value connotation that the graduation work "The Most Beautiful Doctor" wants to present.This article integrates the image shaping of character documentaries with the archetypal image,so as to discuss the archetypal images presented in character documentaries.Through the archetypal theory at the psychological level,the reasons for the formation of some of the characters’ personalities are traced,and the audience is allowed to find the support point of emotional resonance in the representative characters.The relationship between the characteristics of the prototype andCharacter image can enable the creators to have a deeper understanding of the characters in the documentary,shape the character image in a more diversified and complete way,show the social and cultural connotation represented by the character and strengthen the gist of the film.In order to present both authentic and artistic characters,this paper mainly studies the following parts: the archetypal image presented in the character documentary,how to choose the character image,what kind of real image to show,and the use of audiovisual language to visualize the character image.By watching and analyzing the documentary of outstanding domestic characters,we explored and understood the theoretical knowledge of this direction,and then applied it to the graduation work "The Most Beautiful Doctor",thoroughly analyzed the character image in the film and used the theory to guide the character shaping.
