A Study On The Creation Symptom Of "Pseudo-Realism" In Urban Female Group Images Dramas

The American dramas Sex and the City launched the "female group images portrait" craze at the end of the twentieth century,attracting the attention of domestic TV directors and scriptwriters.Domestic urban female group images dramas were at a low ebb in the early days due to the squeeze of other dramas and the blurring of their genres,with few works.With the broadcast of Daylight Entertainment’s TV series Ode To Joy in 2016,the subject of urban female group images dramas gradually emerged in the domestic TV dramas market.Since 2020,urban female group images dramas have risen to prominence,ushering in a period of rapid growth and occupying a unique position in China’s TV series market.However,in addition to their popularity,urban female group images dramas have been labeled as "levitating","ungrounded",and "unrealistic".As a result,using urban female group images dramas as the research object,this paper will examine the current "pseudo-realism" narrative and aesthetic problems of this subject matter through the lens of creation symptom.The study goes on to explain the phenomenon of "pseudo-realism" and makes rationalized recommendations for the future development of urban female group images dramas.This paper is divided into five sections.The introduction part explains the background and significance of this paper,compiles relevant literature,and describes the research method and innovation points of this paper.The first chapter introduces the concept,background and development of urban female group images dramas,and identifies the basic creative characteristics of realism and the creative expression of "pseudo-realism".The second chapter investigates the narrative problem of "pseudo-realism" in urban female group images dramas using relevant narratological theories and the relationship between authenticity and typicality in realism creation.From an aesthetic standpoint,the third chapter reveals the "pseudo-realism" aesthetic pursuit and aesthetic shortcomings of urban female group images dramas in light of the critical spirit of realist creation.Chapter Four examines the causes of the phenomenon of "pseudo-realism" in urban female group images dramas and suggests how urban female group images dramas can move from "pseudo-realism" to realism in creation.
