| English textbooks of senior high school play an extremely important role as the main material for teachers to teach and students to learn.The textbooks are affected senior high school students’ English listening,speaking,reading and writing ability,of which the reading corpus part is the largest part in the English textbook of senior high school,and the proportion of reading is the largest in the college entrance examination of English.The reading corpus contains different reading topics and a large number of vocabulary,grammar and sentence structures,and students need to acquire English knowledge and further improve language skills through the learning of reading corpus;Therefore,the language characteristics of reading corpus in textbooks are the key to influencing teachers’ teaching and students’ learning,and how to enable teachers to better understand the language characteristics of senior high school English textbooks and apply them is a question worth studying.This study will take the reading corpus in the high school English textbook as the research object,count its language characteristics and analyze,so that teachers and students can understand what are the language characteristics of the reading corpus in the new version of the textbook,and further improve the effect of reading in the future reading class teaching process for these characteristics.In order to enable teachers to further improve the effect of reading class in the future teaching process which based on these characteristics.After analyzing the linguistic features of reading corpus,the author will randomly select two reading materials to design teaching plans for reading classes for reference of high school English teachers.After analyzing the linguistic characteristics of the reading corpus,the study will also use the questionnaire to know the views of experienced high school English teachers on the textbooks,as well as the thoughts of senior students who have used a series of textbooks.Then,SPSS26.0(Chinese version)data analysis software was used to analyze the reliability and validity of the questionnaire to ensure the credibility of this study.After research and questionnaires,the reading corpus in the textbook is more in line with students’ daily life in terms of genre and topic,and can meet the English learning needs of senior high school,and the vocabulary,grammar knowledge and after-class exercises(WORKBOOK)part can be recognized by teachers and students,which is better in line with the General High School English Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition).In addition,there are some shortcomings,such as some teachers and students saying that the reading corpus in the textbook cannot effectively help students improve their language expression skills,and the longer text is difficult for some students.In this regard,this study puts forward suggestions for teachers reading teaching process according to the language characteristics of various aspects of the textbook corpus,hoping to promote the reading teaching of senior high school English teachers,and then help students master reading skills and improve English reading ability. |
