Research On The Character Arc Creation Of The Family Members Of Alzheimer's Patient

"Aging" is perspective,and the knowledge of aging is constituted by the relationship and intentions between the narrator and the aging body.At present,with the accelerated aging process of Chinese population,senile diseases represented by Alzheimer’s disease have increasingly prominent impact on people’s lives,and have become the focus of many films and TV dramas.However,it is also faced with many difficulties: many narrative viewpoints focus on the patients themselves and the relationship between the characters is solidified;the image of the patients’ family members is flat and the characters have a single personality.In view of this,the author proposes to use the creative technique of character arcs to organically integrate the promotion of the story plot with the changes in the inner heart of the characters,and create the full-dimensional and changeable images of the families of patients with A-disease.Character arc as an important scriptwriter technique has always been respected by the market.Audiences have always been more understanding and fond of characters with distinct personality changes and rich experiences in film and television works.Therefore,the research on the creation method of character arcs of the family members of patients with A-syndrome in movies can directly guide the creation practice and help the depiction of real and sensible character images.In this paper,the graduation short film "A Deeper Thought" and typical films related to Alzheimer’s disease are taken as the text.On the basis of combing the concept and development of character arc creation,through the case of character arc construction,the creation method of character arc is analyzed for the shaping mechanism and artistic expression of the images of patients’ family members in films about Alzheimer’s disease.The author starts from the two aspects of expanding the hierarchical relationship and presenting the diversified character.Firstly,construct the role composition and character orientation;Secondly,set the character gap,make it in trouble;Finally,let the character complete the drawing of the character arc in the action selection.After watching the graduation work "A Deeper Thought",the audience can reflect on themselves through the misfortunes of small people,and have a strong emotional resonance.
