With the rapid development of tourism,cultural tourism has become the main driving force of the economy.Intangible cultural heritage is an important part of cultural heritage and has extremely important value to tourism.The protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage can not only promote the sustainable development of regional tourism,but also have irreplaceable significance for the long-term development of the country and the happiness of the resident.Qinghai is a multi-ethnic province with 55 ethnic groups,of which is the only living area for Tu and Salar in China,thus forming a unique and rich intangible cultural heritage.However,the current research on intangible cultural heritage in Qinghai is still focusing on the protection and development of a single item,ignoring the comprehensive investigation of the spatial distribution of intangible cultural heritage in the entire province.Therefore,this paper aims to explore the spatial distribution characteristics of 333 intangible cultural heritage items in Qinghai,combining traditional cultural ecological theory with spatial analysis theory and external economic theory.Using GIS technology for data analysis,in order to get a better understanding on the factors which affecting their spatial distribution,and putting forward effective countermeasures based on the vigorous development of intangible cultural heritage tourism,therefore promoting the sustainable and healthy development of intangible cultural heritage in Qinghai.It is found that:(1)the intangible cultural heritage of Qinghai Province generally presents a "pyramid-shaped" hierarchical structure,and the type composition shows the characteristics of concentrated steps;(2)The overall spatial structure layout of intangible cultural heritage items in Qinghai Province showed a high concentration type,Xining City and Haidong City were important distribution areas,while the layout of other administrative regions was less and the total amount was unbalanced;(3)The spatial structure agglomeration mode is mostly a point model,which basically contains a high-density core area and two point-like sub-concentration areas;(4)The spatial distribution of intangible cultural heritage in Qinghai Province is closely related to topography and geomorphology,transportation,river courses,cultural sources and demographic changes.Finally,based on the perspective of the development of intangible cultural heritage tourism,according to the distribution characteristics of intangible cultural heritage in Qinghai Province,relevant policies are proposed to formulate in view of the current problems in the development of intangible cultural heritage tourism in Qinghai Province.Such as condensing the theme and optimizing the overall layout;Establish sound transmission mechanisms and strengthen education and training on intangible cultural heritage;Excavate the connotation of intangible cultural heritage and create tourism boutiques;Strengthen regional cooperation and form thematic routes;Suggestions on continuously improving the system of intangible cultural heritage tourism and improving the quality and service level of intangible cultural heritage tourism.
