The Influence Of Innocence In David Hockney’s Works On My Painting

The innocence of David Hockney(hereinafter referred to as Hockney)has always permeated his works,depicting one beautiful world after another with a flat expression and pure colors.His works are more like an imaginative utopia,pursuing the desired state of life and creating art with a sunny and upward spirit.The influence of the innocence in Hockney’s works on me is first reflected in the language of painting,from form,composition to color,from initial full imitation to rational selection in creation.Hockney’s painting language accompanies my entire artistic process.Secondly,Hockney’s passionate and serious attitude towards life and nature also affects my creative approach.Therefore,around Hockney’s pure painting language and spirit,I will divide the paper into four parts.The first part is the background of the topic selection,which introduces the current situation and research significance;The second part discusses Van Gogh’s influence on Hockney’s pure expression style and Hockney’s characteristics in form and color expression;The third part elaborates on my phased exploration of my artistic practice under the influence of the pure painting language and spirit in Hockney’s works;The fourth part is an analysis of the purity in my graduation creation.
