Morality is of great importance to a nation and an individual.Fulfilling the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people,and training ethical socialist builders and successors,plays an important role in realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.As internal moral motivation,moral emotion plays an important role in promoting people to take moral actions and develop moral qualities,which is of great significance to moral education.Integrating moral emotion education into moral education and paying attention to the cultivation of people’s inner moral motivation is conducive to promoting the transformation of moral cognition into moral action,and cultivating social citizens who truly follow the morals and stay ethical.Confucianism believes that the basic way to achieve morality is to become a moral person by doing moral things.Moral action is driven by moral emotion,and the cultivation of moral emotion is crucial to the achievement of morality.The Confucian theory of emotional motivation discusses the characteristics and mechanism of moral emotion and how to cultivate moral emotion,which has important enlightenment for the implementation of the fundamental task of cultivating human beings by virtue.This study is divided into four parts:The first part explains the main content of the Confucian moral emotion motive theory.In the view of Confucianism,the achievement of virtue requires people to take moral actions and practise time to time to become virtuous.And to push people to take moral actions,they need to have intrinsic emotional motivation.Confucianism also emphasizes that only the emotion that regulated by reason and kept moderate is the moral emotion and can become moral motive.In the aspect of motivation cultivation,Confucianism pays special attention to the educational role of family and example,and advocates to regulate people’s emotion through art education.The second part demonstrates the importance of strengthening the cultivation of moral emotion in moral education from two perspectives of carrying out the requirements of the Communist Party of China and our state,and improving the effectiveness of moral education.Strengthening the cultivation of moral emotion is the requirement of cultivating new men of the Times,implementing the spirit of the General Secretary’s important speech,and carrying out the construction of civic morality.It is also the need of bridging the gap between moral cognition and moral practice,correcting the misunderstanding of moral education.The third part reveals the existing problems in the cultivation of emotional motivation in the current moral education: parents as the primary educators in home education ignore the “raising emotion with emotion” and have improper methods in emotional education;Moral education in school emphasizes cognitive teaching and quantitative evaluation,but emotional education is still inadequate.Social education is carried out mainly through the propaganda and restriction of external regulations,which cannot touch the inner heart of the educated.The reasons for these problems are as follows: first,the introduction of western teaching organization forms led to the school moral education being confined to classroom teaching;secondly,rationalism tendency dissolved the important position of emotion in moral education;thirdly,the exam-oriented education model under the influence of pragmatic values had a great impact on moral education.The fourth part puts forward the optimization strategy of moral emotional motivation cultivation.The cultivation and generation of moral emotion is the result of many factors,which should give play to the combined effects of family,school and society.First of all,parents as the primary educators in home education should set an example and cultivate moral emotion with good family tradition.Secondly,as the main front of moral education,the school should educate people with emotion and mobilize all school resources to strengthen the cultivation of moral emotion.Thirdly,social education should play the role of “bond” of grassroots self-governing organizations,encourage the general citizens to be friendly and friendly,and create a good atmosphere for cultivating moral emotion.
